The Pretender. I was one of the last twelve people watching it on network TV and they ended the season with a cliffhanger. I know it continued on cable but I didn't have access to it (and heard it went quite lame). I still don't know how they ended it.

For a really old school show that ended too soon was Star Trek (original). It was just a show before its time. Although the stories continued it could have had great staying power. I'm not discounting the continuing franchises, but the original still holds up well.

Dead Like Me. Absolutely brilliant show, ended to make way for Kirstie Alley's Fat Actress which lasted 3.4 seconds.

Taking the topic literally as shows ending TOO SOON....

Crusade the spin-off to Babylon 5 which lasted for only half a season (13 episodes) before being cancelled.

It was OK, it might not have been my very favourite, but other sci-fi shows got at least 4 or 5 seasons.

Crusade was the one that ended TOO soon. It might have become better if given the chance.

Happy Endings is my latest heartbreak. It suffered greatly from bad scheduling while it is a genuinely good shows (also some may find it too inside). It's like a gayer version of Friends.

Other shows include Firefly and Pushing Daisies

Actually, it was, but since it was cancelled, the whole story branch for multiple seasons was forced into one season.

Yes, the scripts were a bit thin. I guess I liked the preaching because for a change it was on our side. Gays weren't being portrayed as suicidal, homicidal or pedophiles. I liked how they handled Ellen Barkin's character and Justin Bartha was enticing to think of as a gay man. Maybe that isn't a stretch for him, I don't know.

And I think Heroes should have had a chance to resurrect itself after being horrid for 2 seasons.

One that few of you will have heard of. Invader zim. Amazing cartoon, I loved its warped sense of humour and the way it portrayed the world through the eyes of the main character.

Yes Firefly. I can't believe I forgot about that show.

Eve is another show that was cancelled way too soon.

It would have been one of the best shows NBC ever created if they hadn't botched up marketing.

Going way the H-E-doublehockeysticks back in time: POLICE SQUAD!

Only six episodes, Leslie Nielsen was the star, and the show was very much like the movie AIRPLANE! - and I would daresay that both the movie and POLICE SQUAD! were entirely like video versions of Mad Magazine movie/TV parodies.

This was like 1980 or something.

Proof that the curse of Jason George lives on. WONDERFUL looking man, but like Bumper Robinson, all series and sitcoms seem to die when he's on them.

BUT!! Speaking of UPN, there was one show that I am PISSED that they canceled - Platinum! I really felt that show was going somewhere, and it got canned because of some uproar...

I would like to add "American Casino". It is the only reality show I ever watched. It ended because one of the main on camera people died unexpectedly. It showed some cool stuff about casinos, hotels and spas.

    Agree with Carnivale.

State of Mind only had 8 episodes, I don´t even think it was the full season. It was a shame, I really liked it.
