    A facebook question

Hi there and sorry to bother you... again.

My question concerns facebook. You see, everytime we "like" something, or join a group, or anything, it shows in a box in upper right (newsfeed?) for everyone to see. How do I disable that?
Preferably, I'd like my friends to still see my status changes... but not the groups I'm joining or comments I'm posting in one of them. I don't know if that's possible.
In "privacy settings" there's a bit "who can see my future posts". But if I turn it to just myself, probably that'd mean that also my status changes would be invisible for everyone but me... Is that so?

    Thank you for any answer.

If i'm not mistaken you can't do it yourself it's something all your friends have to do.........go to your newsfeed and just place the cursor over a friends name......then to the Friends button.....then to settings........in there they can choose what they want to see from everyone. I think it's stupid that other people have control over what they see from you and not you choosing what others see.

Yeah some tips, don't like public posts from groups otherwise it will show up on their feeds. I've seen a lot of friends liking half naked guys on their FB and when they like it or comment it shows up on my feed.

Thank you for your comments That's exactly what I want to avoid. I'm often tempted to "like" an appealing picture of a guy, but I don't, because I don't want some of my more religious friends to see it. Which is a shame, I don't like to pretend I'm something I'm not, but well, life does not always allow us to be completely honest with everyone.
