Today's Republicans...seriously...I try not to think about it too much because I am trying to get rid of my blood pressure pills and I am almost there. 110/70 is my average now but after exposing myself to someone like Sarah Palin or Rick Perry it can be 180/110...very scary

What do I fear? That those I love will be taken from me and I will have to live on without them. They say it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. That's pure shit. I have loved and lost. And personally, I would have preferred to have never loved, that was safer for the world..... But luckily I found another love. Fair warning, you do not want to be alive on this planet if that love is ever taken from me.....

Maybe you just need something to distract you so that your nerves aren't all jangled waiting for the biscuits' pop. Have you thought about just relieving the pressure of the can with more certainty?

You could simply take a steak knife and violently jab the can repeatedly like some killer's victim and THEN unwrap the roll.

Earthquakes. I live in constant fear of earthquakes. They can happen at any moment with no warning whatsoever and can totally wipe everything out in a few seconds. I remember one as kid sitting there eating breakfast on a Saturday morning when everything started shaking. I had nightmares for years. Another time I was dripping wet getting out of the shower when an earthquake felt like a truck had hit the building. Fortunately there was no damage other than my nerves but still it has left a lasting fear.

Actually there are simple ways for detecting earthquakes before they hit. It has long since been proven that animals can sense an earthquake before it strikes. Apparently the can pick up on the precursor vibrations and it affects them. Ever wonder why animals tend to "freak out" shortly before an earthquake? That's why. They can feel it "coming in the air tonight, hold on" (sorry, got that song stuck in my head). Don't want a pet, get a seismometer. They can do the same things, only you don't need to feed, bathe, walk them.

I've purchased a few old psychiatric hospitals over the years. I turned one into a nice house. Ive' remodeled a few as hotels/motels (Ever hear of the Bates? ), a couple were even turned into office buildings..... Where do you work, by the way?

This is weird, I am afraid of tall buildings, even in a t.v. show or movie if someone is on a ledge on a tall building I have to leave the room.
I love roller coasters and other rides that have height, I would like to try sky diving... it's just those tall buildings.

Seconded. Also, every time I see a scorpion in a pet store, my feet itch. "Squish it, squish it!" is not a refrain I want in my head.

I totally disagree with this. It is not pure shit! I loved for 35 yrs. and he was taken away from me. I was a hermit and a total fucking mess for over a year. I lived through it. Even though I miss him what seems to be every waking hour, I would never give up those wonderful years together. My life feels so complete that I had that love in my life for so long, even if I never find anyone else. So many people, gay and straight, never get to experience that type of complete and utter life changing love. Even though it was unbelievably painful losing him, I am grateful that I was blessed to have achieved it.

Drug-induced zombie-ism. I'd hate to encounter somebody like that guy in Florida who ate that other guy's face off. The police reported hearing a crunching sound as the first guy ate the second guy's eye!

    Excellent!

I actuall did make a bulletin board in class back when I taught that was bloody handprints, an allusion to the scene in Julius Caesar in which the conspirators paraded in the streets of Rome after having dipped their hands in the blood of the tyrant.

    It unnerved my students.
