Republican-led House passes bill restricting abortion

The bill has no chance of becoming law with Democrats controlling the Senate and the White House threatening to veto it. Still, passage of the bill highlighted the influence of ultra-conservative House Republicans, who have forced the chamber to adopt more conservative measures.
What about jobs-jobs-jobs? Education? Environment? Repairing the Infrastructure? No.

    ABORTION

The House of Representatives might be the world's biggest circle jerk.

They're laser focused on this issue. Forget about jobs jobs jobs, the environment and the economy.

The most important thing for them is to force their way into a doctor's office and make medical decisions for women.

At this point it is just satire, intentional or not.

I think a group of Democrats should play along and introduce a bill called the "Obamacare Kenyan Adjustment Act" that says "Every pregnant woman shall have a compulsory, state-regulated doctor's visit in the 10th and 35th week of pregnancy, and the doctor shall inform the woman of her right to an abortion and offer to perform the procedure on the non-human fetal tissue. These services shall be paid for by a tax of 55% on all incomes over $100,000, except in Texas, Utah and Wyoming, where the tax rate shall be 85%."
Americans need to keep their guns so they can protect themselves from gun violence just like Nancy Lanza did. And like Chris Kyle did. And like Gabby Giffords did. And like Tom Clements did. And like Michael Piemonte.

Small wonder that the job approval of Congress is around 9%. Seems the only thing The House passes anymore are the same old far right social issues that will never be resolved because they all involve belief systems. These symbolic votes only serve to demonstrate how far right the GOP has become...and why they haven't won the popular vote in any presidential election since 1988. Keep it up republicans. This nonsense will keep the Democrats in the White House for many years to come.

It amazes me how they have such concern over issue of abortion. But once child is born they have little concern for its welfare. The GOP cuts every known social program to benefit a child. They tired nearly 40 times to abolish Obama Care which give heath care to all Americans. They cut school lunch programs, Food stamps, other cuts in education and welfare.

Abortion and a life on welfare are not the only two choices.

Why are these politicians interfering with the private lives of Americans? They need to focus on what they were put in office for and not interfering with a doctor and their patient.

It's a fault of the US political system that allows for it to be stretched to infinity with bills that spit on the spirit of the law but follow the letter. Abortion won in Roe V Wade, and has been losing ever since.
That we are capable only of being what we are, remains our unforgivable sin.

Hardly. An estimated 60 plus million American babies have been aborted. It has a been great victory for the Democrats.

No, it has been a great victory for the women who were able to make a choice of their own. You keep talking about abortion as if somebody is FORCING it on women and they aren't making a perfectly free choice to do it.

In fact, if anyone is actively meddling in abortion, it's your guys. Democrats fight only for protecting the right to choose. I dare you to find me any mainstream movement to PROMOTE abortion.

    .
It has become evident that the Republicons' only agenda has to do with limiting a woman's reproductive rights. It's like humping one note on a piano, 24/7, ad nauseam.
