    Tony Perkins: "Abolish the IRS"

One of the most sensible things he's ever said!

Audits, liens, garnishments: the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) goes to amazing lengths to ensure you comply with your taxes but what happens when they turn that energy to making sure you also comply with their political agenda? As recent scandals have shown, that's exactly what they are doing! Our response: its time we abolished the IRS.

The IRS has admitted to unfairly targeting conservatives, hassling adoptive parents, throwing lavish conferences, attempting to censor pro-life groups and has leaked confidential tax information for political ends -- and this is the agency we are going to trust with enforcing Obamacare?

"Thirty-one* states allow all qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons. In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible. "

I don't know if I agree with abolishing the IRS, but we do need some major reforms in government. Almost every government agency has gotten to big to manage properly. We have seen many instances of this in recent weeks and months. From the IRS pressuring groups to the NSA to Congressional scandalmongering. We should definitely abolish the electoral college, especially now that we have electronic means to tabulate votes and declare presidential elections in days instead of months like in the 1920's. The IRS needs to be limited to collecting taxes, and our tax code needs to be streamlined. I would much prefer to have a flat tax, say 6%. If you make money in the united states, you pay 6% to the government in taxes. It doesn't matter if you make one dollar or one hundred billion dollars. It doesn't matter if you are individual or corporation, you still pay the same taxes. We need a chokehold placed on the NSA, and they need to be reined in and make to follow constitutional law. And the entire congress should be impeached, thrown out of office, term limits created and enforced, wages cut, and the ability to give themselves raises taken away from them and given to the voters.

And what agency will ensure everyone complies with the flat tax? More to the point, under the flat tax,the middle class and poor would get burned more then they do now.

Just make the individual exemption $60,000.

BTW, I'd do away with federal taxation of citizens, period. Let each state send in two-fifths of their revenues, and make the feds stick with it.
