Just what you would expect from Fox News. Why anyone would even watch anything from that piece of shit I will never know. No wonder most of America is stupid.
Ahh.....Detroit.....it's just like Chicago, but without the jobs.
Detroit is the prime example what happens when Democrats take over everything & there are no Republicans to keep them in check.
Corruption. Democrat political leaders lining their pockets & taking bribes. No jobs. People rely on big government to write them welfare checks, but there not enough taxpayers to support the people who aren't paying any taxes. High unemployment & desperation leads to high crime. Boarded up buildings & homeless people who live in unsanitary conditions. Not enough money to afford police because the Democrats & unions who run the city hate job creation and set high tax rates for the few people who do have jobs, until they move out of Detroit. The cycle then repeats.
Detroit used to be the model of American progress from the 1920s to 1950s. Then from the 1960s to today, sh*t hit the fan. Detroit is the only major American city with a DECLINING population.
But of course Democrats support gay marriage, so who cares about the rest.
I used to be like that, but not anymore. At least not on the first date. Third date, whole other story..."
Corruption is not monopolised by the politicians of any one political party.
Industries rise and decline. Detroit's traditional industries that made the city so prosperous have declined considerably.
People move to cities, towns and states where there is employment this has always been the way of an enterprising society.
Myopic vision has a well established habit of reminding us that prejudicial understandings are driven by ignorance masquerading as common sense.
Even more off-topic....
What was the name of that JUBber from Detroit who posted a thread about how he and his friend and this other guy were driving around all over the place on the other guy's demands but then were pulled over by the cops, all the while with him taking pics of stuff like some minor damage to his car and the other guy's jacket back in his apartment?
I loved that thread! And I really liked that JUBber! I wish he'd post more threads on here about his adventures!

The Detroit tourism board should REALLY use the two segments of Eminem's vid at the beginning and end. Never mind about the actual song.
They're really evocative and well-shot segments and always make me feel like wanting to visit the place.

Detroit actually has some magnificent architecture - while, unfortunately, other such architecture which Detroit also had, as well, has been lost to neglect or even razed. My favorite architecture INSIDE of a building, there, is in the Guardian Building downtown. Where dwellings haven't been demolished, there are some wonderful, substantial, and well-built homes in some of the old-school neighborhoods. The Mexican neighborhood (which is actually one of the better-off neighborhoods in the city) comes to mind quickly.
Capitalize when needed. Did you help your Uncle Jack off a horse, or help your uncle jack off a horse?
AMY'S BOSS: Sorry, I need to lay you and Jack off. AMY: Can you just jack off? I feel like shit today.

A few years ago i saw a charming house for 80k in Detroit it was beautiful, whoever had it had that house had it nicely preserved its a real shame how that city turned out.
I think something needs to be done with all the abandon buildings and houses
Detroit: modern ruins!
A very interesting website about the urban decay:
Navigation is a bit odd but hundreds of very interesting (and sad) photos. Updated somewhat regularly.
I just LOVE how she ended it. "BYE!" that is me. that is me right there, 30 years later. damn.
