would love to see one of the 2013 5 euro silver collector coins when they are available too
Non-europeans will not realise how shoddy the old ones were. It was like having a scrappy piece of tissue in your wallet.
No strength or firmety about them.
The designs on them are shockingly bland and uninspiring.
I think we're about to put Churchill on our £5 notes.

Ultimately, the Euro is doomed ... doomed, I tell you ... doomed!
The sooner the Disunited Queendom leaves the EU the better!
Mercifully we don't have the wretched Euro in the UK.
Being an Englishman living in France I get so annoyed about having to change my money to go home for a holiday. I always feel I am being cheated.
But then it would be ridiculous to change a whole monetary system just to make life easier for little old me.
I've only ever spent Euros in Schipol and Charles de Gaulle Airports. It was on my to-do list
Can't they come up with more interesting designs for the notes?
Why don't they make a different design for each Eurozone country and then have all 20+ variations commonly in circulation? They do that already for one side of the coins don't they? You could have a famous landmark from the country on one side, and a famous person from the country on the other. That would be really cool - you could start collecting them trying to get all countries, with common ones being France or Germany or Italy, and rarer ones being Slovenia or Lithuania or wherever.
You'll get no argument from me on that.
I like it!
It's certainly a lot nicer than what Canada has had for the past 10-15 years... ours looks like play money now.
whatever...I never understand why some people care so much about what money looks like.

I've always thought that PAPER CURRENCY has some of the most interesting artwork of anything in the world which people are exposed to in everyday life. Usually the artwork is intricate (with the "mother of invention" here being, partially, the need to make counterfeiting difficult), there is often A LOT of historical significance and symbolism, etc.
I used to have a world currency website bookmarked, but it no longer exists. I also checked it at archive.org and the archives don't go down to the level of the actual thumbnails or pictures. The below website, when you click on a country, brings up thumbnails for the paper money from the country you've chosen, very convenient and beautiful.
"All legal U. S. residents who are 18 years or older, shall have an unconditional right to vote." - We need a 28th Amendment to the U. S. Constitution which resembles this...NOW!
VOTING: Just remember: "Be careful of what you DON'T wish for. You might just get it." GET OUT AND VOTE for what you DO wish for.

I wonder if we will find any privately issued bank notes as apposed to ones issued by central banks in that list ? its certainty a link to have a look at.
