The Amanda Knox interview... Any opinions?

Unfortunately, here in the UK it's impossible to watch it. However, I'd like to see what all of you who have seen it think about it. Apparently, going by what I've read on the net, opinions are still very much polarized...

Allow me to start by saying that I do believe that both Raffaelle Sollecito and her are guilty as they can be, and they derived some sort of morbid pleasure from being the center of attention after the murder - apparently, many people went to the police, concerned about this woman's obvious joy at having a chance to "explain" her "ordeal" after poor Meredith Kercher's body was discovered... Also, their incongruous alibis, her generally execrable behaviour (accusing an innocent man of the crime just because you don't like him is beyond low, especially because it ruined his life) and odd emotional responses to the entire situation were rather incriminatory. Only the utter and complete incompetence of the Italian police have allowed her to walk free. Seeing her try to milk the situation for all it's worth, would be rather repugnant, in my opinion.

    Please, discuss...

What? There is no DNA of her in the apartment and the guy found guilty has his DNA all over the place.

I think it is one of the greatest miscarriages (sp) of justice there has been.

I wasn't very impressed by her interview but that doesn't make her a murderer.

I don't want to even bother debating it because she is innocent. Case closed

Shes crazy if she goes back to trial. I would avoid it like the plague.

There is evidence of both Raffaelle Sollecito and her buying cleaning products at a grocery store at 7:30 am, after they said that they had been sleeping until 10:30 am. In fact, when the police arrived a mop and a bucket had recently been put to dry. Also, Amanda Knox's bedside lamp was found in Meredith Kercher's room, lit and lying on the side, as if someone had been looking for evidence to clean up.

Equally, both Sollecito and her have ALWAYS contradicted each other's alibis, computer records show that he lied (as did his father, who said that they had been at his son's flat that evening when, in fact, he was in another city). Also, Amanda claims that she was at his apartment, while he has always said that she had never even been there. Also, their mobile phones show that they were close to the house were the murder was committed that night. She also "called" Meredith out of concern several times before 10:30 am, and hanged immediately after hearing the ringtone - which wouldn't have given anyone the possibility to answer at all. Would anyone do that if they were "concerned" about a friend? Also, if they don't know anything, why would they be "concerned"?

Finally, she was denounced to the police by over a dozen people, because she was going around as if saying "this is my shining moment!", talking about details of the murder that no one else knew, such as the position of the body and the type of wounds that it had.

They clumsily lied their way through the entire ordeal and their behaviour was execrable at best.

Only the shameful incompetence of the carabinieri and the sheer idiocy of Giuliano Mignini have allowed these despicable murderers to walk free.

She's innocent. There is not one piece of her or Raffaelle's DNA in that poor Meredith's room. But Rudy Guede's DNA is everywhere. It is beyond possible for her to clean up only her DNA and leave Rudy's behind. So many people are bringing up her behavior. That means absolutely nothing. Amanda Knox got railroaded. And I hope she makes a lot of money from her book. I'm sure she and her family are already millions in debt.

She wasn't railroaded. The prosecutor is a corrupt buffoon, and the police chose to "try" new techniques to analyze DNA evidence at the worst possible moment. The very judge who exonerated her said that he believed that Amanda Knox and Raffaelle Sollecito were guilty, but had to release them due to the police's mishandling of the physical evidence. Also, Rudy Guede's DNA wasn't all over the room, and allegedly he came in and left through the main entrance - what could explain the badly staged "break in" through a window too small to fit a grown man, then?

Also, her parents are millions in debt because they paid a high powered PR firm to stage a massive media campaign to convince everyone of their daughter's innocence. The legal fees amount to only a small fraction of their debts. Most of it comes from what they paid to the American media to present their daughter as a victim.

Interesting. Here she claims that the blood could have been the result of her piercing her ears... That much blood? And how did she take a shower there? Also, I have to ask you again, if they were so concerned, why did they only call Meredith's telephone to have it show on the records, but made no attempt to contact the police or look for her for several hours?

^ That's the most galling part of all of this, the killer portraying herself as a victim, while the real victim is all but forgotten.

I saw the show---all I got from it was there was no DNA of her or her boyfriend in the room---there was DNA of the other guy (who is currently in prison) all over the room, including his blood fingerprints on the wall and on the floor, his blood footprints and his DNA was also IN her---(he had a rape and robbery criminal record)--if she and her nerd boyfriend (she loved Harry Potter and he looked like Harry Potter to her) did slit her throat and slice her up---what was the motive for this violent crime from these two who knew each other for like 5 weeks? were they on drugs?

She was railroaded. The Italian police were so hell bent on pinning this on her they made a deal with real killer to reduce his sentence just so that he would say she was there. How could she be there is there is no DNA evidence of her being there. I dont really care what the Italian judge said. And what do you mean Guede's DNA wasn't all over the room? His was the only bloody foot print there. A bloody handprint found on a pillow placed under her back was also matched to him. His DNA was even found inside Meredith. Again, Knox's and her bf DNA was no where in that room. Geude was known to break in to homes in that area.

Who cares why her family is in debt. They did what they had to do. Just like most families would do. Meridith may be the ultimate victim in this, but thanks to the Italian justice system, Amada Knox and her bf were also victims.

The show also said the victim fought for her life---and was robbed---and was raped---this was a violent crime----what would the motive be for these two college students to slice up their friend and roommate? Usually in a crime this violent---there is some motive---

Psycho's don't need a motive, other than enjoyment.

    have you seen her father?

he looks evil. she probably got her sociopathic genes from her father.

saw the last part of the interview yesterday night and she's guilty as charge. no emotion whatsoever. i think she's basically bragging about getting away with murder which was why she did the interview and wrote the book. she'll get what she deserves though.

    Bender,
I believe the country where the crime happens is where the trial is held.

    (those who think she's guilty)
So Harry Potter look alike raped her, is that what you think?

I dont think she had a lie detector but not admissable in court.

I think Amanda did about a 'C' in the interview. It was a dull interview I thought. You didnt miss anything, imo

Daddy looks like the guy who killed his wife and his his first wife. That creepy guy.

Yeah, go read about Paul Bernanrdo & Karla Holmolka. Thats some messed up shit and I use the word shit because he shit in the victims mouths. She offered up her younger sister for Paul to rape. The sister choked on vomit and died.
This happened (I believe) about when OJ happened so they didnt get the press they would have if it werent for OJ. Maybe OJ did it

Wow. Way to use "this guy looks creepy (?what?), so he must be evil and raise a sociopathic daughter."
Because that's how it works. Your actions are completely determined by how you look…

As for her actions, I can't say with 100% certainty, but I'm willing to bet that none of you have been in her situation (whether she is guilty or not,) so you don't know how you would act. People react very differently to trauma. Some people are very emotional, some people feel numb, so people go into denial. But charging someone with murder is a very serious thing and needs to be based on more than that.

On CNN tonight is Amanda Knox: TheUnanswered Questions

Last Friday, 20/20 re-aired her interview. I kept it on Dvr in case anyone still wants to see it. But since I would have to spend time video capturing it, I have a price. Maybe you have a computer program that I might be interested or something like that. (I no longer do things for people on the Internet for free. I scratch your back and you scratch mine)
I use to do things for others expecting nothing in return. That was a dumb concept

You might want to record shows after the scheduled time for the show because it is being pre-emptied because of the three woman found alive after 10 years in Cleveland

Chris Cuomo is doing a great job with the interview. He's aggressive because she can't give good interviews.
