Are you afraid of losing your hair?

Or has the process already begun. I'm a double affirmative. How about you?

It's almost gone, mostly on my crown. I keep it buzzed cut so it kind of all looks the same. I find buzz cuts extremely sexy on guys, hate long hair, so it works for me.

A little bit. As I don't think I rock the bald look. My mum's side has balding problems (my grandpa is bald in a young age) but thankfully I think I inherited most of my dad's side as I have plenty of hair (really thick too!) My dad still has a lot of hair at age 55. But I try not to eat too much seasoned food as I heard that affects it.

No...I was never afraid of it and I sorta embrace it. I always think the Men's Hair Club men look way better in their before picture.

Re: Are you afraid of losing your hair?

I was in sixth form when one of my best friends confided in me that his hair was starting to go. I'd met his father, and he look like an older version of the hologram doctor from Star-Trek Voyager. My friend once had a glorious head of blonde hair, by the end of sixth form, it had thinned so much you could see the scalp. There was nothing he could do about it. I was rather sad for him and he was very self conscious about alopecia.

Having a full head of hair, I don't know. I always keep mine short nowadays, so if it does go, like my dad's did thinning out, I don't think I'd be too self conscious. I'm beginning of salt & pepper at the moment, and it kinda looks good.

    it's already happened.

I started losing my hair when I was a teenager, and I've had to shave my head since I was 21-22.

No, it's just a nuisance anyway. I wish it would all fall out. Especially ears, nose and eyebrows.

Whilst we're at it, I'd like to stop finger and toenails from growing. What a pain.

Plus, my hearing can go as well because I'm tired of listening to dogs barking, children squealing, lawnmowers, motorcycles, loud commercials and such.

Leave me my vision and a hard pecker. That's all I need.

I am not really attached to my hair, so to speak. I would rather just shave it all off and be done with it, but can't do that

But not losing it, though my lack of proper hair care; I'm none to kind to it... my hair is very thick so that is why it annoys me.

And I need to go get it cut it's getting to the point where it has a mind of its own o_O
I may be bad, but I'm perfectly good at it.

No. There were no bald men (or women) on either side of my family. My last short, short "summer cut" with sideburns off was a month ago. I'm getting another tomorrow because it's growing over my collar and looks like an unkempt lawn hedge.

I have thick hair and don't ever want to lose it. I just can't rock the Bruce Willis look. I kind of have a naturally high hairline though.

Some of my uncles are very bald, whilst others still have most of their hair, so I'm not sure how it's going to turn out.

Already lost it on my crown and I keep the rest buzz cut anyway.

Sometimes I wish I didn't loose it, because it makes me look older than I actually feel and act, but it is in the end just superficial.

Receding hairline started at 14... but did so very slowly.

Just within the past year has the hair on my crown started to go, so there's a little hole in my hair there now.

I don't much care... it's not like I'm in the market or trying to impress anyone.

Nope. Even at my advanced age I still have a full head of luxuriant hair ... should I choose to grow it, that it ... usually I shave my head or crop it very short cos I can't be arsed with all that faffing about with 'hair-styles'.

It wouldn't bother me at all if I lost my hair.

My hair is kind of fine (my brother lucked out and got really thick hair), but I don't think I'll lose any of it. There's no baldness in my family. I'm not too worried about it …*I know I can pull off buzzed hair.

Castor oil, olive oil, avacado oil, and almond oil.

Heat it up, massage it for five minutes with your head tilted down so the blood rushes to your head and then leave it in for an hour two-three times a week.

    You're welcome.

My hair began to dramatically thin when I was 19 (I'm 22 now). It only concerned me for a little bit, now I really don't care.
    1) I buzz my hair every 1-2 weeks and it takes <5 minutes. Its easy, convenient, and free!
    2) I feel sexy.

    Propecia + Rogaine.
I've seen the combination work well for three friends. I have the impression that if you start the regimen early enough and keep it up, you can regain and keep a full head of hair. (In order to save money, two of these friends managed to buy either one or both of these online from a source in India.) I have another friend who used Rogaine for a few years, and then stopped. He's now effectively bald; still good looking, with a very hot body, but bald.

I've been losing it since I turned 20. Just really slowly. I don't fear it at all. Do I wish I still had it all? Yeah, kinda, simply because there are more options (stylewise) for full-headed guys. But I make it work.

The silver lining (no pun intended) is that people think you are more mature and respect you more. I've noticed this just aging between 18 and 26.

I also think that benign signs of aging are no accident in evolution. There is a social advantage to gray or balding hair symbolizing wisdom and experience. It is also true of silverbacks in bands of gorillas.
