Well, another season done. The Mets closed out 2013 on a winning note, utilizing the speed of Eric Young, and some sloppy play by the Brew Crew. A very nice job from Jon Niese in his finale, and some good bullpen work. It was another "typical" season for Mets fans with the usual ups and downs of a rebuilding team. I think we've turned the corner with some talented young players, especially in the pitching area. With some big salaries coming off the books, I look forward to some moves by the Mets to bolster the lineup a bit, and probably a bullpen arm or two, and possibly a seasoned starter. Glad to see Terry Collins get re-upped for two years, the Mets continued to play for this man, finishing at .500 over the last 100 games, and had a winning record on the road. He's been pretty consistent in his handling the team and along with Dan Wathen provide a steady hand in leadership. Looking forward to a fun Hot Stove League with lots of rumors and player moves. Thanks as always to Sonny for his steady hand on this thread, and the many contributions of Sausy and others to keep the Mets fans informed. Lets go Mets!!!
