Arizona Tea Party handing out shotguns

    http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/03...ibly-go-wrong/

This is almost too ridiculous to be true. The Arizona Teapublican party is spending $12,000 to give out shotguns in high crime areas in the Tuscon area primarily. They think it'll help "reduce" crime rates lol.

They are complaining about high crime rates... but Tuscon has tried to raise taxes to help fund police and fire fighting services. The problem is the tea party has opposed all those attempts to help increase revenues to pay for vital services. Now they think handing out shotguns can help curb crime... lol.

This is idiocy in its finest.

Why do people say " too ridiculous to be true"? You are talking about some crazy ass Tea Baggers, nothing they do is considered outlandish, its right along with what you would expect. I just wish someone accidentally dropped one at the handing out party and it went off and set off a shoot out.

Question: Does the Arizona Tea Party platform include equal rights for all citizens to marry another individual without restrictions or are they strictly a repressive state sponsored marriage rights advocacy group/clearing house?

Street crime, unlikely, but burglary, it just might. Let's have the analysis of this experiment done objectively after the fact.

Yeah you're right. Wouldn't surprise me if someone accidentally shoots a family member.

Yuki, come on now. It's pretty obvious where these guys stand.

It's absolutely horrendous and won't help. Chances are people will have these shotguns used against them by burglars.

If I were a burglar, I think I would avoid homes that were likely to be armed.

If I was, I'd scope it out until seeing that people left... and then locate the gun.

It'll backfire big time. Having a gun isn't going to somehow make someone safe.

This is all ridiculous anyways. There should be increased funding for civil services, like police and the fire department. Handing out shotguns isn't going to help lower crime rates. And if anything, innocent people will get hurt or worse.
