I want to ask what people here think of actress Ashley Judd potentially going after the Democratic nomination, for 2014, to challenge minority leader Mitch McConnell for the U.S. Senate seat in Kentucky?

I've lived all my life in Kentucky and truthfully I'd love to see a Democrat take over Mitch McConnell's seat. I'm from Eastern KY and now live in Louisville (much more progressive) and I think she would be a good solid candidate but she has to get in here, start traveling and meeting with local people if she wants to have a chance at winning rural voters. She is going to have a hard time convincing coal country to support her given her position on mountain top removal, etc. If enough ppl vote for her in the Louisville, Lexington areas she could win by a slim margin given the population divide compared to the rural areas. I do think that her being a Judd and given how popular her mom and sister are in the rural country, that could help her if they decide to stump for her.
I agree with your final part, but I don't know about her position on mountain top removal. Good or bad? Her mama and sister have put the whole family in the front of millions, but not necessarily in KY. God I hope she can do it. She's gotta get there and make a place in actually living there.
As an actress I love her. When she mixes it with politics I just ignore her.
That said, it seems from what I have read here and there that the Dem's are backing away from her, and trying to court Alison Lundergan Grimes instead, but seems she's more likely to want to run for Governor given her position currently as Secretary of State of Kentucky, lends more to a Governor than Senator. But who knows, politics is warped and never knows what will happen

I may be bad, but I'm perfectly good at it.
I really don't give a fuck who does it. Ya gotta defeat mcfallenface!
.
It sounds like a good idea, but I find it inconceivable that an actor could even consider running for public office.
But seriously, I've heard her speaking on behalf of Pres. Obama. She appears to be intelligent, well-spoken and therefore qualified to run for the Senate. You can tell that the Republicons are "concerned". Ms. Judd hasn't even announced her candidacy and the mud is already being slung... a good sign. I can hear it now - behind closed doors - "not another pushy broad!"![]()
Let me see if I can dissect this paragraph. Right and I'm gonna do it spelling dissect, disect.
Ok, I have a very very strong love for these women. And I say I'm Gay. Naimoi Winona, and Ashley Judd! Winona, deathly afraid of appearing on stage. Naomi had to go to the restroom before the show to keep Winona from throwing up on stage during the show. Ashley didn't know what to do with herself while her mother and sister were going all over the planet singing. But she got over it! Naomi appeared as the whore in the movie "You're Cheating Heart" about Hank Williams Jr after the death of Sr. Jr.s mother wanted to make him into the man his father was. Succeeded a little bit, but after awhile Jr told his mother to fuck off. Naomi was a very good actress. Strong women, all. Vote for them. Make them the lead of KY.
So, Yeah I know about the Judds. Grandpa tell me about the good ole days. I had to add the Judds to spell check. I'm tired of these red squiggles all over the page.
So, what say now, boys? Trust me! Hands up in the air like a Dr right after washing up!
No not really a falling out. Just a not knowing what her direction was. That is why Naomi left the Judds, besides having hepetitis, then went to Ashley to be beside her in her activities. all is well.
Sen. Judd?

Oh, is that anything like Sen Brown? Craig, well, there are so many GOP men who has fucked anything that moves, except their wives. Then come back and get reelected. Or, the ones who does anything and everything to keep Gays and Lesbians in the fucking closet!! I posted a new song on the JUB music page. Blake Shelton's You can kiss my country ass.
Anybody other than Mitch McConnell.
Springer, should we retaliate by posting a pic from Playgirl of Scott Brown?
Retaliate ..... for what?

A popular figure like Ashley Judd is just about the only Democrat who might defeat a Republican in Kentucky.
I wish Democrats would challenge John Boehner in Ohio, also. In 2012, Boehner ran unopposed. Democrats didn't even bother to field a candidate against him.
Gay marriage used to be punk rock. Now it's selling Subarus and shit.
So she says she's not running.

She had a lot of baggage to go along with her. Mitch Mcconnell has issues of his own and if someone else runs,he won't be able to hide them as well.
I heard it on MSNBC this AM. She's a no go.
I'm sure Mitch McConnell is breathing a sigh of relief now. He's given Kentucky so much pork projects that a large number of voters love him. Great fiscal conservative?
