Thornton died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Barnes, London, on Saturday, his agent David Daly said.

According to the obit, only the actor who played Mr. Rumbold is alive. Classic brit-com still watch it after all these years and still laugh at the slapstick and silly jokes.

Is Trevor Bannister dead as well?

Yes, in 2011. Wendy and Mollie in 2009, John in 2007, and Arthur Brough in 1978. Arthur 'Mr. Harmon' died in 1995 and Harold 'Young Mr. Grace died in 1981.

He was a wonderful character actor and I loved him in Are You Being Served. Almost all of the leading characters from that series have passed on now .... very sad. I loved that show and have a DVD set of every series that was made. RIP Captain Peacock.
