Personally, I'm a cat person. I don't actively hate dogs; I just prefer the quiet companionship cats offer. Dogs are too rambunctious and noisy for my taste.
How about you?

If pressed, I would vote dog, but I like all sorts of animals.
Doggy.......

What? No option for both?
I have a dog and used to have two cats, but now only have one. I prefer the dog; He isn't as naughty.
Both.
.......
Dogs, cats are snobs.

Dogs...
They are naturally attracted to me, and sense how much I like them!![]()
The Three Musketeers... Bashful, Chrisglass, and Ronboy!
A bird person tbh
but between cats or dogs. I'd say dogs.
I don't hate cats though. Just love dogs more. I love german shepherds and huskies![]()
Looks like I'm in the minority.
Interesting how many people are saying both or dogs, though. The stereotype apparently doesn't hold up anymore.![]()
I always thought that gay guys like dogs more though haha. Since I see most gay guy have dogs in their pics (social media). Majority of my friends likes cats more as I always get spammed with cat pictures in status updates lol. (Most are female).
More a dog person, even though I have a cat -- not a dog. Dogs require more care than I'm able to give.
Dogs--their genuine love and interest in humans has evolved over time and now they are really a part of any family who adopts one. Love dogs, although some breeds (pits, rocs, mastifs) freak me out.
What ryuukie said. I work too much to leave a dog alone all day.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
You are correct---people who get dogs and spend no time with them because they have no time to spend are assholes. Dog walkers (and nannies) are a big business in NYC because lot's of executives want it all even though they only really give time to making money.I work from home so my dog got plenty of attention.
That's nice to know that you are giving your pets the attention they needI hate people who have pets but don't bother to take care of them. Screw my two (now ex-housemates) who wants cats and rabbits just because they are "cute"
They leave them starving, not cleaning up their poop for weeks and cause me to getting bitten badly by fleas for months, almost years
One should just play neopets or have robotic pets If they don't want to deal with the hassle.
Well, I went as "Rover" to the last Furry convention, but the one before I was a cat named "Martin." Rover seems like it will stick though.
Americans need to keep their guns so they can protect themselves from gun violence just like Nancy Lanza did. And like Chris Kyle did. And like Gabby Giffords did. And like Tom Clements did.
Both have their good and bad points. Not all are created equal. Some dogs are like that annoying guy at the club who just won't leave you alone..."Hey! whatcha doin? you look so nice, can I buy you a drink? what do you do?..."
I guess if I had to chose I'd go with cats, simply because they don't require 24/7 attention and most seem to be a great deal smarter. Notice I said "seem" we don't really know and here again not all are created equal. I've seen some stupid cats, too.
Yes, Scealle--over here lot's of people get kittens and puppies because they are cute and then don't care about them when they are adult. My puppy was adorable as a child but a pain in the ass---I loved/enjoyed him more as an adult doggy.
Love both but I have a cat because they are low maintenance as compared to a dog. I'm often away from home on business and don't have the time required to properly care for a dog. If I had a more predictable life and I was home every day, I would have both a cat and a dog.
I like and have had both, but I'd say I lean towards cats. Soft, furry, friendly, maintenance free little piss and puke factories. Love 'em.
I've had dogs most of my life. Now I have cats, mostly because life has robbed me of the time to truly take care of a dog.
The cat's don't care, as long as the litter is clean.
More of a cat person here. I do love all animals. My cat is amazing and has always behave more like a dog than like a cat, we also have to yellow labradors, a boy and a girl. The boy dog was a Xmas present from my partner, though I wanted a brown one, this yellow labrador puppy stole my heart, he pick me. After that we adopted the girl dog from someone who did not want her anymore, she is a bit complicated, though very lovable, the boy is a clown, they make a great couple. This will most likely be the last dogs I will ever have. I find dogs are too needy and they require way too much commitment, I'm always cleaning the floors because they drool, we have to play with them or walk them on a regular basis, anyway, you see what I'm getting at.
cat person here.![]()
Definitely dogs. I can't stand cats and don't like to be around them either. I have my reasons.
I had cats that lived outside as a kid... then as an adult at friends houses I learned I am insanely allergic to the furry little guys. SO I voted Dog person... plus I have two fur balls right now and they are awesome. For those of you who think dogs are too rambunctious? I would just say that if you pick a breed that gets bigger than 50 pounds you will avoid all of the nervous barking energy bullshit. My dogs are the chillest little guys on the planet.... they do make an awesome doorbell though....
As for cats, I have always wanted another kitty but I need to get him or her when i start out another puppy and not with grown dogs. It just wouldn't work out well.... Mo chases anything critter like that isn't his species and some that are because he is a hunting dog. I couldnt and wouldnt train that out of him so...... maybe no cat ever...

Dogs all the way.
Cats are too judgemental :P
both?
I probably lean a little more towards being a dog guy, just because that's what I grew up with, but I'm fine with most cats too (as long as they're not those pain in the ass cats whose owners let them run wild over anything and don't even attempt to curtail bad behavior... which happens with dogs too, but I think cat owners tend to be more likely to just say "oh, he's just being a cat" and not even try)
Cats just don't like me.
I am a dog person. I don't have a pet, but I had a friend with a Rottweiler and he was the greatest, sweetest most wonderful animal I ever knew.
Never cease to find it strange
How at midnight things seem hopeless
But by dawn they've changed
I'm both. I was raised around both cats and dogs and we have always had both in the house at the same time growing up.
I may be bad, but I'm perfectly good at it.
I loves my little doggy.
I absolutely LOVE both (not to the point of illegality), but cats win by a whisker (pun intended).
I love all cats, but I'm more particular about dogs - I love medium and large-sized dogs but a lot of small breeds tend to annoy me. Small short-hairs are fine (jack russels are adorable and pomeranians are so cute!) but those yappy, could-be-easily-mistaken-for-a-mop-or-a-novelty-slipper type ones (terriers, shih-tzus,etc.) are a pain.
At the moment I have neither, because I don't have a driver's license so if I needed to make an emergency trip to the vet I wouldn't be able to save my 'baby/ies)
My dream future would be: me, a partner, a dog (or 2) and a cat (or 2) - but at this point in time, my most likely future will be: me, no partner, no dog and 50 cats (or 100).![]()
From the pole we be smacking down that pussy two to one

I am allergic to cats to the point that I can’t even go into people’s homes if they let their cats inside. I do like cats though and had them as a kid when they didn’t bother me. Now I prefer dogs. Mostly Cocker Spaniels and Corgis.
I couldn't get my mind off you all day.
~~~~ ~~
Cats for me. Dogs are nice and all, but they're too high maintanence for me.
I think dogs have been so bred to human manners that it's reasonable to think of them as para-human.
But while I dislike so much about people, canines' retained innocence smites me in my feelies. Their devotion amazes me.
I love dogs as one of the best parts of human civilization. (I've had two for the last 15 years.)
Cats don't make an impression on me.
They loved living here.
But I can't let them stay.
They'll have to find food, and I hope that they may.
Good luck, boys! Good luck!
Cat. I dont like dogs that continuously bark
both...........................
one thing about the closet/you don't have to hurry/it will be bad tomorrow/so brother, don't you worry![]()
I don't mind dogs but I prefer cats. Nothing beats a purring cat on one's lap with a hot mug o' tea to hand.
Dogs seem really sweet and fun.
But I am a cat person. They're just so pretty and mysterious.![]()
Cat
My cat name is Charlotte she's french lol
but Is for real I bought it in France well my mom
I love dogs, cats, and birds, so it's difficult to pick a favorite.
If you pushed my back against the wall, however, I'd have to say "cats". Here's a picture of me, circa 1995, with my beloved Miss Muffett. She passed in 2005. I still have a clipping of her hair.
If this is meant as being serious, apologies for laughing, but that is awesome.
^^CUTE!
Ditto
^^Adorable.
My last cat died in my arms as I was rushing to the animal hospital, heart failure. The trauma was enough to keep from getting another cat but now I realize I really miss having one.
The heart is capable of having lots of room for the love of many, including pets.
One doesn't replace a pet, one opens one's heart to another and let's them find their own place therein. Find a rescue kitty or cat so you can enjoy and share some love and affection with and towards each other.![]()
Cats for me, dogs just never amused me.
I'm actually more of a dog person, but I like cats too. In fact, I like lots of different types of animals.
When I was a kid, I wanted a pet pig. Not one of those little hairy pot bellied pigs, but a big fat pink pork pig! I always thought they were really cool animals. They're so cute too lol
Dogs. I love cats, but I'm a dog magnet for some reason, and have always trained them to do whatever I want with complete ease. I'm like that Dog Whisperer guy.![]()
I'm a dog type. My dog is quiet and rarely bark haha
