As Cardinal Ratzinger, Benedict called homosexuality a “more or less strong tendency ordered towards an intrinsic moral evil.” As pope, he reiterated the church view that homosexuals were “objectively disordered” and that men who had such tendencies could not be allowed into seminaries. He called gay marriage a threat to “the future of humanity itself.”

Priests molesting children is "an intrinsic moral evil.”

Benedict XVI was a disaster for the church.

However, I see no relief in sight from stupidity at the top of the Catholic Church. It is likely that the next pope will be a young homophobe, which means he will likely rule for many years. The church will spend the next few decades teaching people to hate, and will continue to suffer as a result.

They haven't hit the bottom of their dysfunctional cycle yet.

Right now I can name 5 Catholic priests where I live who are practicing homosexuals. There's two living across the street from me. The Catholic church is a warehouse for self-loathing homosexuals.

Ratzinger was very gay and there is a rumor that he was a celibate homosexual---a big queen in his palace with his kitty cats----his brother who I think is also a priest---said the pope had freaked out after the butler scandal and wanted to quit----the scandal of course, had lot's to do with homosexuality in the church. This ex pope wanted this job SO bad and is rumored to have manipulated things to get it---you should never steal elections, we learned that in this country in 2000---usually ends up as a disaster.
