If the toilet paper roll is fresh out of the pack, it's clean isn't it? Remove the cardboard roll from the middle, then pull the tissue from the center. It's it's own stand. Keep it in the plastic wrap, it's got it's own cover.

I don't think it's funny. I mean I use toilet paper to wipe my mouth after dinner as long the toilet paper is not placed in the toilet before. I would say it's normal if you're eating in a hawker stall or roadside restaurants which is abundant in Asia.

Toilet paper doesn't really work that well for wiping your hands, but I use it all the time for blowing my nose.
I just don't see the point in buying Kleenex boxes, when you got rolls and rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom cupboard! Besides, it's a lot cheaper, and I find it works better too.
