A Toronto hospital is investigating how a newborn baby was declared dead after being born on a snow-covered sidewalk, only to be discovered alive more than 90 minutes later by an alert police officer while waiting for the coroner to pick up the body.
Police were overjoyed at the happy outcome of what first looked like a tragic incident early Sunday, but officials at Humber River Regional Hospital are reviewing the circumstances that saw the living child presumably headed for the autopsy table.

And the wierd thing is, the child was worked on by paramedics en route to hospital and a full medical team of ER doctors and nurses who tried to resusitate the infant, all to no avail. After more than 90 minutes of lying guarded in the morgue, the child started to move.
A little creepy.

The worst hospital in the city. I dealt with them when both my parents were dying. I wouldn't wish them to my worst enemy

I just hope the child is unscathed. To go for almost two hours, in any conditions, without oxygen is almost unheard of.

Could be Lazarus syndrome (death reanimation).
Or the paramedics did not assess the poor infant well.
Anyway, glad the baby survived.Any life amounts to no more than one drop in the limitless ocean. Yet what is any ocean but a multitude of drops?
