Hate dishes. Hate them! I love laundry, I love cleaning the bathroom, and I enjoy sweeping/mopping... But I hate dishes!

Now that I have a steamer I hate ironing day much less than I used to. I don't love it, but "right tool for the job" is a good idea.

Also like "barkeepers friend."

Anyway with those two things, ironing and doing the stove have improved enough that mowing the lawn and weeding the garden are now at the top of my "hate" list.

I got flak for saying I wanted a steamer for xmas but I fucking love the thing to pieces. I even went high end and got a Jiffy steamer. I learned how to steam when I worked at A&F and now I can decrease my shirts in about 3 minutes.

You won't believe how many people I've seen complain about this, and it irritates me. My friend's sister once threw a hissy fit about it, complaining about how her mother "is working her to death"... there wasn't even that many dishes! and all she had to do was plop them in and turn a knob. I wonder what she would have done if she had to do the dishes by hand!

The only annoying part of this is when I find a dish that didn't get clean enough, and I have o handwash it. Otherwise, it's just putting stuff away, usually less than two steps away. What's the hassle?

omfg, my roommate... I don't get it. the dishwasher is literally right next to the sink, but instead of putting his dirty dishes into the dishwasher, he just leaves them in the sink to sit. drives me nuts, but I refuse to touch them.

I do hate putting dishes away, but only because there always seems to be random pools of water in various dishes that I have to sit and towel dry.

For those who hate to clean the bathtub, I think you will find if you dry the shower and tub after every use, that less cleaning is required on a regular basis. Soap film and water spots are a big culprit.

My entire family does that...

I don't know how many meals they go through each day, because as soon as you clear something, there's a fresh load in the sink within 30 minutes.
