Summer splendour ....

... and it doesn't get much better than this! Where we went picknicking, walking, sightseeing and swimming today, and it's only about a 25 minute drive from where we live.

Sir Ron is shivering in the cold today. The day here in Rochester, NY, USA is sunny, but the temperature is only 26 degrees F, and there is an occasional snow flurry in the air...

So, I've always wondered about those who live in such stunning locales: do you ever, you know, get used to it?

We consider ourselves lucky and grateful to live where we do as there's so much space and beauty around us, so we definitely don't ever take it for granted or just get used to it. For example, the beach in the first photo is called Little Beach and even though we've been there for a dip hundreds of times over the years, the beauty of it still takes my breath away every time.

It's the Southern Ocean and the bay is called Two Peoples Bay. And no, we didn't skinny dip.
