Cooking for your love

Dear fellow Jubbers,

Valentine atmosphere and having cooked myself a very nice dinner, my mind wandered and I was thinking how I would love to cook for a boyfriend, what recipes I would like to make him, etc.

So the question for those in partnership : do you cook for you significant one ? Do you like to cook for your love ? What do you like to cook for him for special occasions ?

Also, if you are the one cooking, does it get boring ? What do you do to not get bored ?

And for the single ones, the same but in theory

oh fine... id go with a gratin, because you can prepare everything in advance, then just shove it in the oven when you wanna eat. granted, thats a trick i deploy whenever i have guests... plus, my béchamel is invincible.

I always cook for a guy I'm dating. I like it, as long as it's appreciated.

the moment I knew I had to break up with one of my ex's was when I cooked him a nice steak dinner (with like a $40 ribeye steak) and he dumped a gallon of ketchup on it before even tasting it.

Unfortunately, cooking is just not my forte. I'd love to have a partner cook for me as a gesture of affection, but I've always thought it would be romantic to cook with him, and to expand my repertoire in the process.

A lot of my fantasies start in the kitchen.

My BF does all the cooking.

Any time I've attempted to set foot in the kitchen, he micro-manages everything I do, and hates and nit picks the outcome every time.

I've given up, and refuse to even attempt to cook anything for him now because of it.
If he wants it done HIS way, HE can do it.

( I don't always LOVE everything he makes either, but I eat it politely since I didn't have to make it.)

Unfortunately, there isn't much of anything he doesn't know how to cook. I am WAY out of my league with him in the kitchen - which is why I choose to stay out of it.
