Don't post in THIS forum much so...

    Why not eh?

Don't expect this story to be anything beyond the efforts of a typical high school kid, an author I am not (but I'll do my best).

It was a day not unlike any other, as Jake entered the office, a little downbeat. He still had a heavy workload, papers mounted on his desk, more so since he had to leave early the day before, coming over quite sick in the early afternoon. Food-poisoning perhaps or just an overwhelming fatigue, he did not know, he didn't care. It was just a relief for him to escape the dreariness of his job, even if that meant suffering a little. Jake hated his job but he needed it and badly. That was not all that Jake needed however. A change was what he yearned for but there was little hope of that he thought, as he plonked himself down in his chair and gently riffled over the papers sat facing him awaiting his attention.

About two hours had passed when Jake stood up and stretched his back, lifting his arms behind his head. It was time for some refreshment. He walked confidently towards the staff canteen, situated next to the entrance to the office. To him, it was the next best thing to leaving for the day. A perkiness came about his manner to keep him content, if only for just fifteen minutes. Gilly was already in there, a colleague who worked in her own little office in the farthest corner of the main workroom; she was in Personnel. She had the kettle in her hand and was pouring hot water into her tankard of a mug, which she treasured. She could always be guaranteed to take back half her drink to her desk, as if to allow her break to double in length. Gilly felt much the same way about her job as Jake, and they both had talked about the mundane nature of their labours during their breaks.

"Hi Jake, how are you today honey?" she said with an extraordinary smile on her face. Jake smiled, and yet his eyes were more telling. He wasn't happy, so much as curious. Why was she in such a chirpy mood? He wondered before grabbing himself a cup and reaching for some coffee.

"Well," she said. "You would know that, if you hadn't have gone home sick yesterday," as she gave him a cheeky smile. Her eyes glistened from the excitement that had obviously welled up inside her, at the mere thought which was passing her mind. But what was that thought wondered Jake.

"Go on," he said, "I can see that you are just itching to tell me," he paused, but only to interrupt her soon after. "You have got yourself a new guy, right?" He guessed.
"Well actually, no - but that could soon cha-ange" she teasingly said.

The afternoon before, after Jake had left for the day, a visitor came into the building. He asked for Gilly by name, and was asked to wait at reception until called for. Gilly had greeted him after several minutes, a delay due to her incessant desire to make certain every hair on her head was in place, and every blemish on her pale skin concealed. It was as if she were certain that one day it would happen - she would meet the man of her dreams, right there in the visitors waiting area, and so wanted to look her most presentable.
On this occasion, having been introduced to the man whom she was already expecting, she spluttered over her words as she introduced herself, daring to entertain that this, this, might be it, everything she had prepared for, about to come true. Her cheeks turned a slight rose, as she beckoned him to follow her, back to Personnel. It was there where she filed the paperwork for this newcomer, staff paperwork. He was about to join the team. Although she knew Jake was unaware of it, she could imagine exactly how he would feel, when he learned that the long-empty desk adjacent to his own was for the new guy, and that the new guy was hot.

OK guys, should I continue the story? I'm in two minds already.

By all mean, Mitchymo. I think you've done very well setting the scene. Jake's whole world is about the change and I, for one, would like to find out how. Welcome to the story forum.

Re: Don't post in THIS forum much so...

    Ok, going on..

Jake, now rested with his left hip against the canteen counter, sipping his coffee, was eager to hear more. "Shoot then, don't keep me in suspense," he said.

Gilly, now with a big smile, pulled a chair from under the kitchen table, sat down and began to inform him of how the finance department had needed to hire a new staff member to replace Carol, about to retire. Now Jake knew months ago that Carol, who had been with the company for several years, was going to be going sometime later in the year, but he didn't realise how the time had gone since she first announced her plans to leave. He began to feel a slight optimism within him, knowing that a new placement would need to be filled, and that here was Gilly, from Personnel, utterly enthused about a potential change.

Now Jake was a pretty smart guy, and it wasn’t too hard to work out what it was that had occurred during his absence the day prior.

Gilly then began to glow, "This new guy is so damn cute! You wait until you see him, you'll think so too," she added.

"Well, what does he look like then," began Jake, "Don't keep me in suspense." But Gilly, grinning a wide beam now, refused, "I'm not going to spoil the surprise now, besides, there is the chance you might not think him as hot as I do."

Jake smiled, and then moving from the counter, sat down at the table, "So when does he start then?" he asked.

Gilly had just begun to speak, "Actually he star..." she didn't finish, distracted by a voice strange to Jake. There, having just walked into the canteen, the new guy stood looking towards Gilly. Having his back to the door, Jake turned in his seat to see who stood just a few feet behind him. Gilly had arranged for the new guy to start at lunchtime, where the scope of activity would involve no work, but instead a familiarisation routine, getting to know the various departments and the key people he would need to know first and foremost. In reality, Gilly only cared that he knew her. She had taken quite a shine to this new guy, having only met him once.

Ordinarily, she would be quite annoyed that she had not been involved in his interview, an opportunity to have learnt a little more about him. However, on this occasion he was transferred from an office in the neighbouring town, as the Finance department were concerned that Carol's replacement was new to the job. It was fortunate that this request coincided with new guy changing his residence, and he jumped at the offer of being able to take his current job to his new home, commuting was now no longer a concern.

Gilly stood up and spoke. "Hello" she said, "You're very early" she followed.

"Well, it may be a little cheeky to ask, but, I could really do with having my afternoon free," he paused briefly, pulling on his ear-lobe and lowering his brow, "It's just that I'd like to get to know my way around my new neighbourhood, whilst it's light, what with the days being short at the moment." he elaborated. It was late autumn and the days were indeed getting short, yet not so short just yet that there wouldn’t be time after the working day had ended. It didn't matter however, Gilly was too eager to please, and any excuse may have succeeded. "Ok, no problem, no problem at all," she said. "I'm not too busy this morning".

Gilly then turned to Jake and began to introduce the two men. "Jake, this is Aaron, Aaron Jake. You'll be sitting at the desk next to Jake, so he's one of the people you'll get to know best around here."

Having first laid eyes on this new stranger, Jake had only taken a brief look before turning back in his seat and casually pawing his cup, in between the odd sip. Jake had only needed that one brief look, before he felt overcome with, and no doubt the same anticipation as Gilly, an extreme excitement welling from his stomach, and spreading throughout his body. He couldn't believe how cute...no, hot...no, sexy, this guy was. He stood straight and tall, no older than his mid-twenties, younger than Jake, but not much. Short dark hair was lightly spiked with gel, dark eyebrows lined dark brown eyes. Jake loved brown eyes, puppy-dog looking, and matched by the youthfulness of this guy they were even more alluring. His lips were thin and his nose was small. His jaw squared and ears dainty on the side of his head. His features perfectly aligned. At an instant, Jake couldn't help but let the thought of grabbing that head firmly in his hands and smooching everything out of alignment. He sat, trying to compose himself, listening to the talk between Gilly and Aaron, before being introduced.

Jake shook his hand, a small hand, but a firm grip. "Hi...pleased to meet you," he said speaking softly.

"Likewise,” replied Aaron, before looking back at Gilly.

"Jake works on his own for the most part in the Information Department; apart from him there is a part-timer three days a week, so don't be too concerned if you see him looking stressed now and again, he's always got a lot to do," Gilly explained.

Aaron smiled and Jake nodded and added "It's not that bad really" before chuckling a little after. "Good to hear it," said Aaron. "I’m known to get a little stressed myself, and could rely on somebody to keep me distracted now and again."

Jake smiled and although to the onlooker it was just a friendly smile, to Jake it reflected the dirty thought now passing through his mind. "Yep, I’d love to keep you distracted," he quietly thought to himself and blushed slightly.

Gilly walked towards the canteen entrance, and softly laying her hand on Aaron's arm, she said, "Come on then, I’ll get you started," and made her way back to the main workroom. Aaron said ‘bye to Jake and turned to follow.

Jake allowed his look to linger, panning down from the back of Aaron's head, towards his backside. As with the rest of Aaron’s body, at least as much as Jake could see, there was the smallest butt that he could remember seeing recently on a guy. It was small but perfectly formed; fitting into Aaron's trousers as though his clothes were tailor-made. This backside, and Aaron's slim physique, gave Jake a little more to wet his appetite. Aaron must be quite athletic and with that, Jake allowed himself to fantasise about what Aaron would look like when naked.

He lingered for quite a while on this thought before noticing the time. Break time over, he got up from his seat and headed back to work, adjusting his crotch has he did so. Clearly he had gotten excited whilst thinking, as a distinct bulge in his pants had appeared. A slight re-positioning and he was ready to leave.

Hoping time will permit fairly frequently........nice build of intrigue. Jake may have problems keeping Gilly in PR or at least Aaron out of her reach. Looking forward to much more.

Jake walked casually back to his desk, a soft glow in his cheeks, and sat down to continue his work. For the next half an hour, pen to paper, he was achieving little, frequently raising his head and looking about him. The scene was typical however; his colleagues busying themselves and occasionally chatting across desks. Nothing unusual to warrant Jake's attention, yet he looked anyway. 'Where is Aaron' he pondered, each time finding no answer.

It was only a short time later, that the front doors to the main office opened, and there he was, smiling, listening intently to Gilly as she evidently made humorous small talk in the way she always does when her mind is focused firmly on making a positive impression. Jake liked that about her. He was more or less the opposite, clamming up and blushing, losing his words amid any visual information being taken in, clouding his thoughts from being topical and expressed with fluidity. How was he ever going to get to know this new guy without giving his game away. He didn't want things to be awkward.

Gilly, ever observational, noticed Jake looking across the room. Jake smiled, and it was reciprocated. She guided Aaron into Personnel and then turned towards Jake and waved her hand inviting him over. Already Jake started to muster butterflies, and yet he stood and headed over. Gilly invited him into the office, and pulling a seat from the corner of it, let him sit down at the end of her desk, before stepping away to close the office door. She then sat down and began to speak.
"Now," she said, turning to Aaron, "Before we finish our little tour of the place, and before you start officially next week," she beamed widely, "I'd like to take this opportunity to get to know a little more about you."

"Okay," Aaron replied, briefly looking at Jake and smiling. "What would you like to know?"

"Well, I was wondering,” pausing very briefly, "and I brought Jake along as I'm sure he'd be interested to know,” pausing briefly again, meanwhile giving Jake a moment of dread about being implicated in a willful participation of a 'which way do you swing?' question, before continuing, "How come you decided to move?" Jake relaxed.

"Well...I moved here to be closer to someone that’s all."

Jake nodded slightly to acknowledge the response, and Gilly, a little despondent, asked "who is that then?"

"My grandfather,” he replied. "He has bad hips and his mobility is difficult.”

Gilly then perked up just as quickly as her emotions previously sunk. "And how come your granddad lives around here then?”

"Long story, I'll tell you about it some other time...next question?"

Gilly then turned to Jake. "Jake, perhaps you have something you'd like to ask?"

Jake shifted uncomfortably in his seat before coming out with, "No, nothing in particular,” a shade of red filling his cheeks. Aaron gave a curious smile and a squinted his eyes ever so slightly. A signal to Jake that maybe Aaron had suddenly learned of his attraction. The shade spread across the rest of Jake's face and he looked to Gilly to move on.

"OK," she went on. "I'm sure we will have plenty of time to get to know you better soon enough anyway,” then followed with, "Perhaps you'd like to go for a drink with us sometime, and we could show you around town a little.”

Aaron seemed content and nodded his head, "Sure, I'd like that,” before glancing at Jake and smiling again.

Gilly quickly wound up their little chat and before long, Jake was relieved to be back at his desk, with his regular complexion back also. It was just a few seconds afterwards, that Aaron was escorted back towards reception, and the remainder of the day passed without event, that is, until Jake left his home to go buy groceries that evening. As Jake left the house, there, just a few doors up from him, and across the street, was Aaron, speaking to Mr Blake, Jake's frail neighbor who was often seen pottering around his garden or up and down the street on his way here and there, with determined but slow progress, on account of his bad hips. Then suddenly, Jake couldn't believe it. Aaron's granddad was his neighbor.

Ok, another pause guys. I should have written the story on Notepad whenever I'm bored, and then posted the whole thing afterwards. That would have been better not to keep people waiting. If I do another story in the future then I'll write it all first, but with this one, I'll just add to it as I go along.

Your doing great and I'm liking what I read. I have a feeling Gilly won't be too pleased to find Aaron living almost next door to Jake. But, then again, maybe she doesn't need to know... Anticipating the next chapter, Mitchymo.
