In the latest I could find. The cabin was set on fire, and no one has seen Dorner leave the cabin at all. Most likely dead, but he could have set the cabin on fire and egressed quietly away. We will have to see once they get in there.

BIG BEAR — An LAPD source confirmed to KTLA that a body found inside a burned out cabin in Big Bear is believed to be that of accused cop-killer Christopher Dorner.

Authorities are in the process of removing his body from the cabin.

The fugitive former officer had been holed up in the cabin for several hours on Tuesday afternoon.

At one point, police broke windows, pumped in tear gas and blasted a loud speaker urging Dorner to surrender.

When they got no response, police deployed a vehicle to rip down the walls of the cabin “one by one, like peeling an onion,” a law enforcement official said.

By the time they got to the last wall, authorities heard a single gunshot, the source said.

Edit: Well it is most likely him. I assume by DNA testing they'll have their answers. His body was probably burned beyond recognition.

Californias Dept of Fish and Wildlife's top officer said that Dorner fired on his officers with a handgun from a moving vehicle... and they returned fire with AR-15s... he potentially got hit and wounded I speculate... but who knows. They said the officers thought it was him. He did get away from them, but then the San Bernardino sheriffs spotted and surrounded when he holed up in the cabin. So he may have been wounded... I'm just speculating of course from what I have just heard on KTLA.

The part of his body being found is unconfirmed, but I think it is indeed him. They can't approach the scene because it's too dangerous. Bullets could still go off from the heat.

That's all. He was a self centered shit... and he killed another deputy in the fire fight and nearly killed a Fish and Game Warden. He put the fucking bullet into his own head. Stop trying to glamorize this. It's not Hollywood. BTW, the LAPD wasn't even there when it went down. Perhaps some here should express the same anger about the deputy dying in the firefight...

Completely immaterial when he killed several who were not even involved or part of the LAPD... he killed cops in completely different counties. The LA Mayor said it well enough... he doesn't care if what he said was true or not... he killed several people and that is not the way things are resolved. I frankly don't care either... killing isn't the way to solve problems.

It wasn't the LAPD who was up there. And he killed another deputy up there. They used stronger tear gas when the other tear gas didn't have an effect. He ultimately killed himself.
