    12 to 20 inches...

Of snow in my area. Seems two storms are colliding over my house to create an enormous snow storm gusting winds are likely to cause power outages. We have a generator 80% installed, one thing is there is no generator. I'm not too happy. I have to load up on supplies so my being stuck in the house won't be horrible....

i want my house in sunny Florida...NOW....

Winter storms are great if you've got time off work, tons of food and hot cocoa in the house, and electricity.

It seems I always lose out on one of those counts, though.

Send some over to Houston. We haven't had snow in 4 years. It's 66° now and I need winter-like temperatures for a bit longer. That Groundhog was right, though. However, we get very hot temperatures for what feels like 10 out of 12 months of the year, so any break is welcomed!

The Weather Channel and their stupid names.

I'm at ground zero for this event. Maybe tomorrow night I'll watch Finding Nemo again...

Really hope this is not as bad as they are saying---fucking up my weekend plans---but wouldn't this be the time to be in Florida--at least until April.

You’d be squealing a different tune if that was an electric banjo.

And, now, I wonder how terrifying it must be for your neighbors to suddenly hear banjo music in the middle of a pitch-dark stormy night.

Best make sure the laptop is charged up.

I often put Finding Nemo on for my cats when I leave the house. I have converted the full movie to a 663mb avi file and set it to loop. They seem to find it comforting.

I hate winter and snow! When everyone else runs to the supermarket for bread and milk, we stocked up on wine and vodka!
    Keep warm everyone!

    Re: 12 to 20 inches...

So on Saturday....we are having a snow festival as an event for the community and the organization I am involved with.

Up until yesterday we had hardly any snow.

Over the next 24 hours we may have 40 cm.

We may have to cancel our snow event.

It doesn't snow but it pours.

but 12-18 inches is a whole lot diggable compared to 30. i'm happy i don't live in boston. i know that my lights aren't going to go out. we had our turn with sandy. boston, it's your turn now. enjoy the blizzard and snow. i hope all you guys got your canned goods, batteries, and condoms on deck because it's going to be a long week.
one thing about the closet/you don't have to hurry/it will be bad tomorrow/so brother, don't you worry

    Not even close to a Denver blizzard - I think it was 1997 there was 54 inches....or 2003 even more....like 65 inches....

I've a friend in Boston and she's said that the area is declared to be under a state of emergency. About two feet of snow and 50mph+ winds. Yikes. This is why I'm a Cali dude and always will be.
