That is really true, I always have to scroll down really fast when refreshing the page or whatever because at the very top is a big picture of some guy pinching a big penis.

It's probably a bad idea financially since this is the most popular section.

They could put it at the bottom..? Might help with the "mostly safe for work" label anyway.

    Two solutions:

    1. Pay for supporter status, which eliminates the ads.
    2. In the lower left, switch to "mobile mode".

If you have FireFox use Adblock Plus.

Shouldn't you be focusing on work while at work?

As a professional, I don't browse JUB at work.

I tweet and update my Facebook status every 30 minutes...then work.

This is exactly why I became a supporter.

Also, it may not be a mod's fault that content isn't "safe-for-work." They may not catch certain things that don't go in Hot Topics in time.

It cracks me up too. It's one of the most unappealing ads I think I've ever seen for gay porn, lmao. I can't tell if it's meant to suggest bondage or asphyxiation or what.

Re: Dear Mods, hot topics is not safe for work like it says

Maybe it's my fault; I mentioned the ads disappearing for one month or two before New Year...and poof here they are again! Corny sure knows how to mindfuck people now I have to actually wait until no one's around then scroll as fast as I can...luckily I work in a corner so chance of getting caught is small

I agree with the notion putting the ads on the bottom of the page only. Or, we can make it an non-suspicious flip (like there used to be an icon on the top right of the page which revealed its content when someone placed their cursor on it). I cannot install too many extensions/add-ons; my browser is already slow enough with only three add-ons!
come now, my child. if we were planning to harm you, do you think
we'd be lurking here beside the path in the darkest part of the forest?

But fact remains ...why would you waste company time on here? You only hurt yourself in terms of lost productivity. It's like being on your mobile at work taking personal calls. You could "receive an infraction"...or worse.
