no, its not uncommon for people to have strong preferences in ethnicities.

i think it has to do with racist beauty standards and racist representations in the media, but thats just my opinion.

in my own experience, its also hard to change, even if you try to real hard.

It is okay to like things about people that are different than yourself. It is not okay to use it to pre-judge people or screen them out. Sometimes people look good on the second glance, even if they aren't your usual "type." And everybody wants to be treated as an individual.

Would you be happier dating a latino guy who thought you were black and hot, or dating a latino guy who thought you were hot because you're black? The first guy likes everything about you including your skin. The second guy is dating a colour, that you happen to be. See the difference?

Most black guys I know have awesome bodies and huge dicks. This is why I usually shy away from them. they make me feel inferior. I would not say white guys don't like black guys at all, it is more the guys personality that we like.

More than anything though, If I am going to do anything with anyone, I have like who they are as a person, attributes merely catch my eye at first glance from afar.
