I hear the response to the Halftime show was mixed.
Personally I thought Madonna's was way better. Which is not to say it was bad, it was just okay. I got so bored at the end, I didnt even finish watching her sing Halo.
The visuals of the two people (almost) kissing was really not as good as what Madonna did with collage ish looking thing during vogue...The entrance was not as epic either.
and that thing she did with the screens during Baby Boy...I couldnt help but think...er didnt you already do something similar during your Run the World performance at the Billboard awards or something? lame

I liked the Destiny's Child bit. Kelly looked amazing...and watching Michelle's performance...wow no wonder she's everyone's least favorite.

It's in vogue now to be a Beyonce hater. The girl can dance and the girl can sing. I thought she was great. I take her over Madonna any day.

Sad when you realize that she's about the last 'live' entertainer left who can do a half-time show.

I am guessing: Coldplay, Someone from Jersey like Jovi, or Springsteen, Eminem.


God love Rihanna but her ability to put together an upbeat performance on that level is not something I am seeing. She's good at performing an uptempo on an X factor then quickly hopping off stage. However I don't see her doing it on a grand scale back to back.



Has anyone seen her in concert? Has she strung together massive routines in single sets? For christ sakes Beyonce was moving like crazy and people still were not here for the dancing. Will Rihanna even match half of what beyonce brought?



At the end of the day Madonna and Beyonce brought in the numbers. A band like Linkin Park (Who have sold more records than people have imagined) or Coldplay may not bring in the same numbers but they can bring in a show.

apparently next year will be the first time ever for the Super Bowl to be hosted in a cold weather state?

Jan. 24, 1982 it was held in the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan
Jan. 26, 1992 it was held in the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Feb. 5, 2006 it was held at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan
Feb. 5, 2012 it was held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Only 4 of the 47 Super Bowls have been held in places that are normally very cold in the winter. All other Super Bowls have been held in sunbelt or southern states (California, Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia or Florida).

Yup I think so.

Which I also don't think is the best idea. But on a positive side it might be just the thing to get her to step up.

Britney has done half time already, albeit as part of an emsemble act. I don't think they will call upon her a second time.

I do think they might stick with pop acts though. The guys who are going to tune in for Springsteen are likely watching the game anyway... but a lot of people who don't watch football might tune in for Madonna or Beyonce. It's a creative way of increasing your audience.

I don't see how a small part in a performance years ago would rule her out at this point.

It would rather be her downfall as a performer (her two tours since the breakdown were both mehhhh).

But she would get a lot of rating because people would be curious to see whether she does good or if it's gonna be another VMA 2007.

It was so bad I changed the channel after about a minute or two.

Possibly one of the worst halftime shows in NFL history.
