Re: Corn Holing
I’ve never heard of harvesting corn midwinter.
What is it good for after it’s been left to dry out and/or freeze in the field?
Booze? Fuel? Bedding?
Seems like a midwinter harvest would be hell on equipment, too.

When someone told me this game is real and really known by this name, I thought my leg was being pulled.

This is not Niblets corn by any stretch. This is high starch content corn used in making shit. It needs to be as dry as possible, so winter is the perfect time to harvest. this year they are actually early because we don't have a lot of snow on the fields.
The frozen ground is also better for moving equipment than wet ground; it doesn't compact the soil as much.

Re: Corn Holing
By "shit" I take it that you mean processed corn products, like corn starch?
BTW, how do you keep vermin away from it for so long in the field?

I believe you may be referring to 'Corny-holing'.....which may or may not lead to infractions.
And actually, Hard-up, this will probably be used for starch although not edible starch.
