Perkins is claiming "victory" because no decision was made at present. I still expect the Scouts will go with the proposed change that would allow individual councils or even troops to decide. If they go with councils, expect nothing to change in areas that are significantly Mormon in make-up, because Mormon troops will dominate the council. If they go with troops, things could get interesting.

I got an interesting email this morning. A State Senator in CA, Senator Ricardo Lara, has sponsored a bill to revoke the special tax status. That would do it, wouldn't it? I like his attitude. Also, there is a link to sign a petition at this URL:
