It's a costume, mask with a guy inside, but DAMN it looks real, and esp with the eye-shine and the size of the head, ears, etc. First time I've ever seen the picture, but DAMN.

Two things that scare me - Werewolves and spiders. Don't want either as a pet.

A friend of mine knows my absolute fear of werewolves. Had been to his parents house out in the sticks one night for dinner and to watch a movie. He chose An American Werewolf in London. Against my likes, I did agree to watch it. Like a tightly clumped ball of rubber bands at the end!

Walked out to my truck in the dark, and when I got about halfway to the end of the driveway he turned the outside lights off and then put his head out the door and howled as loud as he could. I fell down twice trying to get to and into my truck! LOL Funny now. NOT then. Friends can be SUCH ASSHOLES.

I can't imagine what my instant reaction would have been, but the instant after would have been to laugh, as the hands are a giveaway that it is a human in costume. I'm very analytical, even in crisis.

I love a good practical joke, especially ones that have surprises, but I think it is cruel to play upon anyone's real fears.

In my 20's, I'd wait silently when a friend would enter my house and then walk just beside or behind her. No, "boo!", just silence. It was a good gag, but if she had indicated anything other than mild reaction, I wouldn't have done it.

You were good to share your story, but I don't think your friend was a friend.

Spiders... they are fine as long as they are not on me or too close to me. Get in my personal space and they get squashed.

I would have a HARD time figuring out if I should shoot it with my 30-round assault weapon or my 100 round...Maybe I will use both..130 Bullets should do it...If I'm steady and havent had too much Mello Yello and Hershey's Sundae Pie I'll at least hit it with about 25 bullets....
