Urgent message in PM... what kind of scam is this?

Got a pm from "guest" with title "URGENT: Update your email"

The message is

In a routine check, we found that your email address on file, is not valid. Please update your email asap.

Obviously, it's not from JUB since the sender is "guest". I think whoever it was didn't count on me noticing this.

Aside from this being a joke by some boring kid, I can't think of anything else this might be. Sure as hell can't be a scam.

So, anyone can think of any other reason what this is about?

My guess is somebody created an account and started spamming. JUB figured it out (they can only send about 10 PMs before they reach their limit) and banned the account, thus the "guest" account. They may not have alerted everybody to the problem yet, though.

Just spam, I had this a couple weeks ago:

Just spam, I had this a couple weeks ago:

I occasionally get these as well. What a good idea... going to a gay board to advertise straight porn.

What I really hate at times is I would do a search for gay porn and search result would give me straight porn sites. When I type in "naked guy", search would give me pictures of naked women.

Ah... didn't know about that report function... although it similar to the one in threads, I didn't know it was available in PMs as well and jut manually forwarded the PM to a mod...
