I copied this text a long time ago to research the UFO sightings they may have come up with. Well, What the Fuck!?! These 2 sites are way worse than Jones. Right before everyone’s favorite person Julian Assange was arrested as part of the CIA Honey Pot that has him ensnared, he did an interview with the Guardian in the UK where he says that some of the leaked cables that he has mention UFOs. Now, a European site claims to have details that these leaked cables deal with the long-rumored war that the US has been waging against UFOs that originate near the Antarctic.

According to this report, the United States went to its highest alert level on June 10, 2004 after a massive fleet of UFO’s “suddenly emerged” from the Southern Ocean and approached Guadalajara, Mexico barely 1,600 kilometers (1,000 miles) from the American border. Prior to reaching the US border, however, this massive UFO fleet is said in this report to have “dimensionally returned” to their Southern Ocean “home base”.

The vast majority of these incidents are simply either weather-related or just natural electro-magnetic effects happening in the atmosphere, similar to the aurora, or to a mirage. It easily explains why they all so often appear as 'lights' and it also explains how they always seem to come out of nowhere and 'hover' before rapidly disappearing all of a sudden.

The U.S. military has to log and report every instance that happens on record, and also go 'on alert' as a matter of standard procedure. As a result, these reports are often over-dramatised and taken to mean more than they actually do.

I'll be honest, I have serious qualms about the idea of endlessly broadcasting information about ourselves out into space via SETI precisely because of this. I don't lose sleep at night worrying about Hollywood alien invasions, but I do think contact would be relatively disastrous no matter how benevolent another intelligent race was.

I've heard 5% and 10% before (both sound like invented numbers) but, either way, that's significant. The number would probably be a lot higher if there weren't natural phenomena which can mimic a sighting. I've sometimes wondered if they might be humans from the future, but I haven't seen or heard any theory that it is possible to travel BACKWARD in time.

I think contact might be a disaster, even if the aliens had NO malicious intentions whatsoever. Even with the most complete safeguards in quarantining the aliens (and we know that's EXACTLY what would happen - probably including vivisection to study them), I have no doubt that some pathogen they may be carrying, which may be based on something that isn't even DNA, could get out...

I think it's extremely unlikely that it's future humans because I think it's very unlikely that it is possible to travel back in time. Traveling to the future on the other hand is a scientific fact (it's just a matter of how much we can speed it up).

Yes if they were developed enough to travel here close to the speed of light (they probably have to because of the great distances between us) then there is no way they would do all that simply to do some old-school fighting.

Virus attack would make sense. Also a nuclear type of explosion at multiple locations in the atmosphere would ruin all of our computer chips and electric grids... pretty much putting us back in the stone age.

I believe that one postulate of string theory is that one tiny particle can instantaneously affect another particle elsewhere in the Universe?? If an advanced civilization has harnessed that level of physics in a way that massive objects (such as spacecraft and inhabitants) can travel elsewhere instantaneously in effect, the absolute distances may no longer have any consequence.

Almost sounds like the Neutron Bomb, which I believe was actually DEVELOPED in the 1970's. I never, EVER hear anything about that weapon anymore. What happened to it?
