Out of curiosity, How does a monogamous couple manage to do or setup a 3-some?
Especially if the 3rd person is a complete stranger you just met. Where do they/you look to add that person to the mix?
It seems uncomfortable to sexually perform with 3 people, but that's why I come here, to get some opinions and answers.
I'm just curious

If anyone can please share some experiences, positions, was it a bad idea? good idea?

In our case, the third person is usually a single friend or part of another couple we know. Or, sometimes it's at home during a regular social visit, but the person was spending the night. Someone we'd socialize with without sex too. Other times, it's at a party with other couples (mostly) who don't think sex and love have to be combined all the time.

When it's two guys and me, they only want to play with me and not with each other. In that situation, we're all doing it at the same time. When a female friend visits, it's more likely to involve taking turns, or the third person being more of a helper -touching or whatever. For example, I discovered during a group session that having my legs rubbed a certain way during sex made me come faster and harder. Weird, but it wasn't a one time thing. If we hadn't been three, I wouldn't have known that.

As long as all three people are consensual about it and safe sex is practiced there shouldn't be a huge issue. Presumably the thried person would have no interest in anything else besides sex. The difficulty arises of course when they want more and will turn into a problem threatening your relationship. That's why you set ground rules. Good 99% of the time!

Depends on the situation and the couple. I think three guys who are just "pals" can proceed to have a threesome more easily because there are no deep emotions involved.
On the other hand if there is a couple and they invite a third person, than the dinamics of the relationships will be possibly upset. Threesomes are not for everyone, as neither are relationships.

Oh my...there is so much wrong with this and I am not going to break the no flame rule if possible but I cannot just pretend I didn't see this. "Shadows of humanity" ...because they like three ways??????

As for the original question...I have had three ways with two of my four lovers and I had a great time...almost every time. It isn't for everyone though. If you are the jealous type or are insecure if your BF looks at or lusts after someone else...probably isn't a good idea if you have a three way.

I think it would be weird if the idea came out of the
blue one day, after a long monogamous relationship,
can get kinda awkward.

However, if a monogamous relationship consists of
two people who are aware of each others kinkiness,
and it begins as such, a threesome can happen with ease.

FYI: I'm NO expert here, just my own hypothesis.
