Right on! (To bring into the convo a phrase from the '60s)
I'm sure he will do the right things also.
Here's the inauguration event guide.

Joseph Biden was just sworn in also:

It's going to be a busy weekend.
Did you know that in the night of President Obama's first inauguration those scallywag republicans were at a meeting hell bent on the new President's destruction, according to a book by Robert Draper.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1452899.html
All the assholes were in attendance: Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, Jim DeMint and of course Newt Gingrich to name a few. They were plotting on how to destroy this President.
What do these treasonous traitors have planned for this weekend? For several hours in the Caucus Room (a high-end D.C. establishment), the book says they plotted out ways to not just win back political power, but to also put the brakes on Obama's legislative platform.
Not sure how the President gets through these things - other people are there - and he struggles with other people
My guess is by 2016 he will have perfected his cross over dribble![]()
do you know what a cross over dribble is ? it's not easy
if he can perfect it, i give him credit
now if only he could go to his "right"
as for the inauguration, been there done that for the obama's - first one was amazing - this one not so much
LOL...
This inauguration is going to be lowkey as it should be. The President does just fine around other people considering he's always trying to compromise. At any rate, I congratulate Obama for his second term... and rightfully so... I think he'll do a great job in the next four years.
it took me some time to perfect the cross over dribble - but i got it down
the president is VERY BUSY demonizing republicans thus less time to practice
here's hoping over the next 4 years he limits the demonization and perfects the cross-over
i think he can do it

I'm looking forward to his second term. I'm really hoping we get some Supreme Court Justices to retire from the right and maybe a good house cleaning in 2014.
Good luck, Mr. President.
Sadly, the only thing that I remember from the first is Aretha Franklin's hat:
That and she sang the National Anthem.
President Clinton introduced us to Maya Angelou :
I'll always remember that.
No take away moments from Obama's speech, or where we might be going. I hope he does a little better this go around.

Never regret anything, because in that moment it's exactly what you wanted.![]()
That was quick and simple, i like it.
So there was no fan fair and hoopla like last time?
NEVER LISTEN TO A ONE SIDED STORY AND JUDGE.
Oh my God Girl.
Let it go.
Take a day off. You can get back to being Fauxtraged after tomorrow, after the celebrations on Martin Luther King Day trigger off apoplexy over at talking points central and you can channel all the bobbleheads for the remainder of the week or the next four years.
Why not go down to Washington and join the party? Get laid...drink champagne and be thankful that you don't have to defend that idiot who ran for the Republicans for the next four years. You are in the position you love more than anything else. Hunkered down and sniping.
Cheers.
I Love everything about the inaugurations. I've watched all of them going back to Bubba..I will be watching MSNBC all day on Monday and thank the Man that invented the DVR Pause feature...
Has anyone heard who is gonna replace Anti-Gay Atlanta Pastor Giglio? They mentioned the players on the news but havent mentioned his replacement...They should have asked Al Sharpton. He's the only mainstream Pastor that marched for Gay Civil Rights in New York back in the day.

No, that's tomorrow. Because the day the inauguration has to happen on fell on a Sunday, they postponed the pomp and circumstance for the next day. The president and vice president have already been officially sworn in, as law dictates. Tomorrow they do it for the cameras.
Tagg Romney said that nobody wanted Mitt Romney to be president less than Mitt Romney.
There are 800,000 people on the Mall right now who may disagree with that statement.
Pleasantly surprised when the President mentioned Stonewall. Never thought I'd hear that name in an Innauguration speech.......
With Democratic Senator from New York Charles Schumer having a hosting role at the Inauguration, a quip about his first priority
comes to mind. "The most dangerous place to be in Washington is between Charles Schumer and a mic". ALWAYS ready for his close up!![]()
Amazing things ahead for the Mets ....hosts of the MLB All Star Game in 2013
Observations: Obama's speech was boring. Nadler's chins are wider than ever and Beyonce is extremely HOT, HOT, HOT.
After the Inauguration while MSNBC's O'Donnell was saying that no one was leaving and everyone was dwelling on Obama's speech -- their cameras were showing people leaving en masse.
"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country." John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Address, January 20, 1961
Sour grapes are down aisle 5 if the right wingers here are wondering... they are on special.
The ceremonies are going smoothly! It's interesting to see who all is at the luncheon.
Four more years.
What I found particularly poignant about President Obama's mention of Stonewall is that he mentioned in the same context as the Civil Rights Movement and the Women's Rights Movement. The exact quote is as follows:
By putting the struggle for gay rights on the same footing as that for racial and gender equality, President Obama has created history. Perhaps it is a not so subtle indication to the conservatives on the Supreme Court that they risk historical opprobrium if they uphold DOMA and strike down marriage equality. It was huge, and certainly shows where the president's head and heart is at.We, the people, declare today that the most evident of truths – that all of us are created equal – is the star that guides us still; just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall;
Not bad for a racist country
The irony is thick
Apparently, you got so bored that you missed the fact that for the first time in history, a President spoke of marriage equality in an Inauguration speech. Here, let me put it here so you see what your President did for you while you were busy digging in your butthole for something to throw at him:
Four more yearsOur journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law – for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well. We, the people, declare today that the most evident of truths – that all of us are created equal – is the star that guides us still; just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall; just as it guided all those men and women, sung and unsung, who left footprints along this great Mall, to hear a preacher say that we cannot walk alone; to hear a King proclaim that our individual freedom is inextricably bound to the freedom of every soul on Earth.

Harry Reid is up
It's like a Comedy Central roast

Clinton (bill) and Boehner sharing a rather lengthy handshake and convo
No doubt sharing their love for the Pres.
Schumer as emcee didn't do it for me
He kept looking at his watch
so lonely and awkward walking like this alone:
NEVER LISTEN TO A ONE SIDED STORY AND JUDGE.
The motorcade is driving down Pennsylvania Avenue now. Will the President and First Lady walk part of the way like they did?
YES THEY ARE!
FOUR MORE YEARS!
PS:
What do you think the loser Romney is doing this afternoon? Firing people? Counting his money hidden away overseas? Outsourcing jobs? Shutting down businesses?
Crying over a picture of his father, mumbling "I tried! I really did!" as the true scope of his failure to achieve the one goal he had in his entire life ^_^

It's like the bad news bears
Congrats to Pres. Obama for an excellent campaign
My hope is he morphs into governing FOR THE PEOPLE soon
There's a lot of people lining Pennsylvania Avenue. Lots of cheering and waving. Wonder what kind of mileage that gargantuan Cadillac gets?
The First Lady looks great. No Laura Bush pant suits for her.
Really? Like, as in morphing into governing FOR THE PEOPLE who want to shaft the rest of us? 'Cause otherwise you're just being silly.
ATTACK OF THE LIBERAL ELITE
Oh God. FOR THE PEOPLE means for the GOOD of the people - not for his good - or his party's good - but for AMERICA's good
you know - FOR THE PEOPLE

Defending Laura using misogyny. Tell me another funny.
Sad thing there's someone to defend the honor of a murderer. But they'll always be supporters of people like that.

Those pant suits stain easily.
Four more years of Obama...... you must be wetting your pantsuit.
