Marriage equality for England and Wales is a done deal with the development of a majority in the UK House of Commons. Only 127 MPs are likely against the proposal. While peers can delay a bill, the Parliament Act can be invoked to prevent the undemocratic Lords from stopping it.

The slight majority corresponds to the 53% of support from the consultation in England and Wales. Also, despite a dastardly attempt by anti-gay Conservatives to showcase dissent within the gay community, 99% of the LGBTs consulted supported the act. See source article.

Note: Marriage is a devolved issue in Scotland and Northern Ireland, which are also considering similar legislation.
