In the horror of events like this, focused on those poor dead children, I guess I never stopped to visualise what the survivors were doing in those moments between the shooting and their families collecting them.

His story could be basically true but many things don't make sense. I want to make it very clear -- Sandy Hook was a horrible tragedy, it was not a hoax. You seem to be painting a picture that I don't believe it happened and that I'm some type of conspiracy kook -- I am not.

I think I made a valid point that the man who supposedly sheltered 6 children after the murders has a story that is hard to believe. His story could be basically true but many things don't make sense. We live in a strange world where there are people who want to interject themselves into stories all the time -- I'm just saying this man may be one of those.

Why would the bus company give this man (or any person) the names and cell phone numbers of the parents of the 6 children? Companies who's livelihood involve children never give that kind of information out to anyone without approval even in disasters.

What happened to the bus driver? Did he or she abandon the kids with this guy? What's the bus driver's name?

Why didn't the man call the police, highway patrol, school administration? He didn't say he even attempted.

Why would some of the parents leave the kids at his house for 3 hours? Would you have done that?

Why hasn't any of the parents come forward and backed up his account?


Maybe the guy has memory problems or has dementia, I don't know.

No one should be harassing him or completely buying his story either. Let the police investigate.

Let it go Jack, its not worth arguing about, if there is something hinky there it will eventually come out in the wash. In the meantime, we can safely take the reported account at face value and praise the man.

I think ALL of can agree that the lengths conspiracy nutters will go to cling to their fantasies are indeed disgusting regardless of this man's case, I'm not sure that there anything to debate on that. I enjoy debating Truthers and Birthers directly for the fun of it and the remote possibility of enlightenment on their part, but I'm not much on sitting around on the side and making fun of the logically challenged.

Conspiracy theory nuttiness is interesting to study, it often starts out with an observation that someone is gaining an advantage from some horrible event and then latching on the little inconsistencies and coincidental things that always exist in any chaotic event that large and run with it to utterly insane lengths. Once they get caught up in the fever of the idea, they lose all sight of perspective.
