Are Ecards worth sending anymore?

Over the holidays, I pondered about sending a few of my friends Ecards, yet with so many of them having Smartphones, they usually tell me they get a message (when they try to view the Ecard on their Smartphone) that says something like: “Your mobile device does not support Adobe Flash Player. So you can only see the message.” Yet these friends vow to view the card on their laptop or desktop computer at another time . . . yet I doubt that they bother, since their Smartphone is their main mode for internet connections.

Yet all-in-all, I’m just wondering do people still enjoy receiving Ecards or do they prefer to get greetings and messages via facebook or just a plain email . . . or heaven forbid, by a telephone call or a Snail Mail greeting card.

I didn't even know they still had websites that offered e-cards.

Personally, I'm not fond of them. They were really cool back in the day, but I think their time has passed.

No, there are too many scams and virii/worms/trojans and other malware that send messages exactly like that.

I've never sent one or got one. I was thinking of sending one to a former friend but I don't think I will, don't know where to get them or how to attach them.

Either write something, put in the fucking envelope and mail it to me...or just send me an email message with a silly or thoughtful attachment.

I won't open them any more.

So many e-mails I get that appear like "you have received an e-card" wind up just taking you to some adware space that gives you a virus that I kinda gave up on the whole concept. It's hard to tell legit from phony.

Why on earth have another company or whatever make the e-card for you to send? I made and sent a animated birthday card to my sis, and she loved it.

It's been awhile since I've sent one or received one. They can be tacky, but so can emails, snail mails, etc.
