Anyone watch ?
Its a new show about the Dominican population in New York City. Its sort of like Jersey Shore but not trashy.
That area is so interesting. I first became intrigued with WH when playwright Lin Manuel Miranda created In The Heights: The Muscial in 2009. Its an amazing, contemporary piece that is full of culture and educates you on "The Heights".

I was expecting the show to be more about family, hardships and the Dominican culture, like the musical. They have that stuff, but it is mostly about the drama of their young lives. It is MTV afterall.
I am actually enjoying it. Its good to see color on TV. Plus Dominicans and other darker skinned Latinos are probably really excited to see themselves on MTV.
