Justin Timberlake - I'm Ready
Justin Timberlake - I'm Ready
Thank goodness. The better Justin is back. Lesbian Beiber needs to go the fuck away already.
Cannot fucking wait.
Seriously. It's been way too long.
JT: "I'm ready to go back to making music...because my movie career sank like a stone...quickly."
"If you can't say something nice, say something clever but devastating!!"
Justin Timberlake - Suit And Tie Ft. Jay Z
first 30 seconds seem unnecessary...the Jay-Z part also seems unnecessary.
refreshing change from all the dance music on the charts though
I don't know what numbers people have been looking at, but his movie career certainly hasn't been "sinking like a stone". The majority of them have done pretty well box office wise...
I'm ready for JT to come back but he coulda left Suit and Tie at the cleaners. It's gonna sell because its him but hopefully the next singer will be better....same with that weak joint Destinys Child put out.

You're right about it selling because its JT. Early estimates are already expecting Suit & Tie to perform better than SexyBack.
I agree about that Destiny's Child single. That was lullaby worthy, pure ZZZ's. Who's jumping to buy any LP by them based on that weak sauce lead? Bey must not care about numbers this time around.

Lyrics:
That's a really long song. It's kinda catchy, but I don't think it needed the intro and Jay Z's part.

Justin Timberlake to perform at the Grammy Awards
The Grammy Awards still have the ability to surprise. The Recording Academy unveiled this morning that Justin Timberlake will perform on the Feb. 10 telecast, his first musical appearance in support of his first new solo material since 2006.
Timberlake, a six time Grammy winner and two-time nominee for album of the year, will release "The 20/20 Experience" on March 19. Still a mystery -- for now, at least -- is whether Timberlake will use the Grammys to unveil a new song, or perform his recently released "Suit & Tie," his retro-minded soul single that features an assist from Jay-Z.
The Grammy Awards will air live except for the West Coast on CBS. Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" was at No. 4 last week on the U.S. pop charts, and has thus far sold 315,000 downloads in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Timberlake, in his relatively short career, has a long history with the Grammys. In 2009, He was asked to host the telecast (he declined), but he did perform that year with Al Green. The two staged a last-minute take of Green's "Let's Stay Together," a performance added after the Chris Brown assault on Rihanna forced the two off the Grammy broadcast.
The Timberlake performance is a big coup for the Recording Academy. There's no shortage of star power slated to perform at this year's Grammy Awards, with the likes of Taylor Swift, Jack White, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood and the Black Keys among those on the roster, but an appearance by Timberlake is tantamount to an award show event, as it gives the Grammys a performance from an artist who hasn't recently appeared elsewhere on television.
The 2012 Grammy telecast drew 40 million people -- its second-biggest audience ever behind the 1984 telecast that saw Michael Jackson sweep the awards. Yet interest last year was buoyed by preshow drama that can't be replicated, as viewers tuned in to see how artists would respond to the sudden passing of Whitney Houston a day earlier as well as to witness Adele's return to the stage after vocal surgery.

David Fincher Directing Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" Video Featuring Jay-Z
It's hard to belive that it was seven years ago when Justin Timberlake dropped FutureSex/LoveSounds, his chart topping sophomore album, and since then the pop star has turned actor, lining up parts in a wide range of films from the B-movie sleaze of "Black Snake Moan," to the comedies "Bad Teacher" and "Friends With Benefits," to the sci-fi "In Time" and the baseball drama "Trouble With The Curve." While 2013 will see him appear in the Coen Brothers' "Inside Llewyn Davis," Timberlake is heading back to where he started, with a new album The 20/20 Experience dropping in the spring. And he's roped in the helmer who helped him achieve his finest performance to date to lens the first video for the album.
The Playlist can confirm that David Fincher is directing the video for "Suit & Tie," the first single for the album that also features Jay-Z. Production began last week on the spot, with Timberlake reteaming with his "The Social Network" director. As fans of Fincher know, he cut his teeth on commercials and music videos, but it has been seven years since he's done one, last helming "Only" for Nine Inch Nails. There's not much word on what this clip will involve but set photos reveal that, appropriately, everyone is looking quite dapper.
The 20/20 Experience will stores on March 19th and while Fincher ponders over a few options for his next feature, "House Of Cards" just dropped on Netflix in its entirety last night. The political drama has Fincher behind the camera for the first two episodes, and executive producing the rest of the series, and if you're not a football fan, this might be the perfect thing to settle in with this Super Bowl weekend.

Justin is so not over Britney! At the DirecTV Super Bowl party on February 2, the ‘Suit & Tie’ singer referred to Britney as a ‘bitch’ for cheating on him back in 2002.
Before performing “Cry Me A River” at the event, he said, ”Sometimes in life, you think you found the one. But then one day you find out, that she is just some bitch!”
Well, It took 10 years, but Justin Timberlake finally (mostly) confirmed something we all assumed, that his hit “Cry Me a River” is about our-girl, Britney Spears.
Later, Justin Tweeted the Britney Army with a sort-of apology, saying:
via tumblr
kinda wish he didnt apologize.
This isn't my favorite from JT but I like it and I am SO glad he is back.
To fucking hip hop tinged...God damn that has ruined R &B.
Amazing things ahead for the Mets ....hosts of the MLB All Star Game in 2013
"Justin Timberlake has shared more details about The 20/20 Experience, which is out March 19 via RCA. That's the artwork above. Find the tracklist below, which includes "Suit & Tie" and the tracks he performed live over the weekend-- "Pusher Love Girl" and "That Girl"."
The 20/20 Experience:
01 Pusher Love Girl
02 Suit & Tie
03 Don't Hold the Wall
04 Strawberry Bubblegum
05 Tunnel Vision
06 Spaceship Coupe
07 That Girl
08 Let the Groove Get In
09 Mirrors
10 Blue Ocean Floor
Justin Timberlake "Little Pusher Love Girl"
Justin Timberlake - That Girl
7 years...and only 10 songs? Hope the quality will make up for the quantity...
Let's face the facts here:
1) Justin rode Britney Spears coattails to drum up his solo career;
2) He played along Janet Jackson (Idiotic to think he didnt know what Janet was gonna pull off) and when it backfired, he did NOT have the balls to stand up, and left Janet with all the flak;
3) JT and Timbaland collab is one dimensional - if you listen to all their production work with other artists - they not only sounded like B sides to Futuresex/Lovesounds but more telling, they were not commercially successful simply because they were rehashes;
4) JT's "rave" reviews for his acting is stupid at best, in particular, his emmy winning stint with SNL. Justin is a white frat boy, and in the SNL skit he played a white frat boy type. WOW What a stretch!
5) JT seemed to think this year's Grammy was for him and no one else.
...you know...now that I think about it, it was highly suspicious how he released "Cry Me A River" right after his first single flopped. So okay it was like top 20 on Hot 100 but it sure wasnt top five. and I heard he got a bunch of shit for being a MJ wannabe.
we all know hes a talented guy...but where would he be if Britney didnt date him. He never got the chance to release "cry me a river" as the followup single?
also thanks for reminding me about the Janet thing. I never did like how he let Janet basically take the blame.
eh...
The album is available for preview on iTunes now.

Justin Timberlake - Suit & Tie (Four Tet Remix)
Just listened to the cd. Kinda disappointed. I only really like suit and tie. The songs are really tooooooo long. He even said he only had 10 tracks but mentioned they were long as if that's a good thing.

Justin Timberlake's '20/20' Pushes Towards 900,000 for Debut Week
Industry sources now forecast that Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience" could sell between 850,000 and 900,000 by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, March 24.
To bring you up to speed: On May 11 -- before the RCA Records album came out on March 19 -- Billboard first reported that the album was headed for at least 500,000. Then, once the album did drop, its sales projection jumped to 750,000 on the 20th, 800,000 on the 21st and now 850,000 to 900,000 today (22).
Could "20/20" go over 900,000? It's quite possible, if the set performs strongly over the weekend.
With its massive sales, "20/20" will instantly become the year's top selling album. It will eclipse Mumford & Sons' "Babel," which has sold 631,000 in 2013 according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Timberlake will also score his second No. 1 and his best-ever sales week with "20/20." His previous high came with the arrival of his last album, 2006's "FutureSex/LoveSounds," which bowed with 684,000 at No. 1.
To put Timberlake's monster sales in perspective, let's look at how infrequently an album sells this many copies in a single week.
Since SoundScan started tracking data in 1991, there have only been 31 instances where an album sold more than 850,000 copies in a single week. The all-time best-selling week was when Timberlake's former group, 'N Sync, saw its "No Strings Attached" album debut with 2.42 million at No. 1 on the April 8, 2000 Billboard 200 chart.
In the late '00s and into the '10s, enormous sales weeks became less frequent, as more people opted to stream albums or purchase digital tracks.
Thus, since 2005, there have just been eight weeks where an album did 850,000-plus. All seven of them did so in their debut frames: 50 Cent's "The Massacre" (1.14 million; March 19, 2005), Kanye West's "Late Registration" (860,000; Sept. 17, 2005), West's "Graduation" (957,000; Sept. 29, 2007), Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" (1.01 million; June 28, 2008), Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" (1.05 million; Nov. 13, 2010), Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" (1.11 million, June 11, 2011), Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV" (964,000; Sept. 17, 2011) and Swift's "Red" (1.21 million; Nov. 10, 2012).
Sources say Apple's iTunes Store is leading the way in terms of sales of "20/20," with Target the No. 2-seller of the set. The latter was the only retailer with an exclusive version of the album. Target's deluxe CD edition includes two bonus songs unavailable anywhere else: "Dress On" and "Body Count."
"Initial sales for 'The 20/20 Experience' at Target are exceeding our expectations and put it in a position to be one of our best-selling albums in the last 10 years," Anne Stanchfield, Target's divisional merchandise manager of entertainment, tells Billboard.
"For the launch of the album, Target focused on bringing our guests more of what they love about Justin. Our two broadcast spots served up some surprises, and Monday night’s release party gave fans a chance to be a part of an intimate performance through an innovative partnership with Clear Channel and the CW."
While iTunes is selling "20/20" for $10.99 -- as is its main competitor, Amazon MP3 -- Target is offering its exclusive version for $9.99. Trumping all three is both Walmart and Amazon.com, which are selling the standard physical CD for only $7.

Not a major JT fan, have liked some of his hits here and there, but never enough to purchase an album of his. Until this one and initially I was ready to proclaim this "Album of the Year!!!" But after a few more listens and nearly a week later, I only like 4 songs:
"Pusher Love Girl"
"Don't Hold the Wall"
"Spaceship Coupe"
"Let the Groove Get In" (mainly for the 2nd half)
But he is going to clean up this music award show season and good for him on his high 1st week debut, because he worked hard for it.
^At over 900,000 its not just his best debut solo week it will easily make his album the best selling one of the year so far.
Official: Justin Timberlake's '20/20 Experience' Sells 968,000, Debuts at No. 1 on...
It's official: Justin Timberlake's new album "The 20/20 Experience" debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 968,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
"20/20," released on March 19, is Timberlake's second No. 1 album and logs his best sales week yet. It follows his last release, 2006's "FutureSex/LoveSounds," which arrived atop the list with his previous high: 684,000. Timberlake's first album, 2002's "Justified," debuted and peaked at No. 2 with a 439,000 start.
"20/20's" monster sales are the 19th-largest week for an album since SoundScan started tracking data in 1991. The all-time best-selling week was when Timberlake's former group, 'N Sync, saw its "No Strings Attached" album debut with 2.42 million at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated April 8, 2000.
The full top 10 of the new Billboard 200 -- along with further sales analysis about "20/20's" arrival -- will be revealed on Wednesday, March 27.
