The lineup for President Obama’s second inauguration is coming together, with the inaugural committee announcing Wednesday that Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor will perform.

Blanco, who now lives in Maine, has a unique personal story. He was born in Spain to Cuban exiles, and his family quickly afterward moved to New York City before settling in Miami.

His official biography puts it more artfully: "Richard Blanco was made in Cuba, assembled in Spain, and imported to the United States."

Name a President in the last the last 30 years that gave a speech worth remembering.

That inspired us through there own words.

Name one phrase beyond "Ask not.." that has inspired shit upon our National frame of consciousness.

They've relied upon "poets," or "voices" to make their claim on history.

Most of them, outside of hats or wardrobe, or mostly forgotten except amongst the culturally literate.

And even those are a dying bread against The Jersey Shore, the Kardashians, and The Hilton Sisters.

So, in this regard I'd ask that you cut the Dude some slack.

A pastor President Obama chose to deliver the benediction at the inauguration later this month has withdrawn amid controversy over anti-gay remarks he made more than a decade ago.

In a mid-1990s sermon, Rev. Louie Giglio, an Atlanta minister and founder of the Passion Conferences, a group dedicated to uniting students in worship and prayer, advocated for "ex-gay" therapy and urged listeners to prevent the “homosexual lifestyle” from becoming accepted.

He also invoked a biblical passage often interpreted to require gay people to be executed and argued that homosexuals choose to be gay.
