What are your thoughts on this case guys. Was it rape or not? The picture where they are carrying the girl hanging with her legs and wrists is quite persuasive although not conclusive.

Having lived in this community I can attest to the rampant ignorance among its population and corruption of it's law enforcement and government officials. It's a cultural trait. They idolize and protect the high school football players because Big Red football is the only successful venture Steubenville has know since the repeal of Prohibition and the collapse of the Ohio Valley steel industry. Hard drugs are abundant here and the local sheriff make's sure of it. Get yours at the "Spot Bar".

I am a former HS and Division I university coach. This mentality and behavior exists more than we imagine, or would hope! And it is prolific among football players! Why? I hope the mother's of these worthless souls are not equivocating their actions and debased character, but instead are as embarrassed as they should be. My guess is that the community, school, and their parents will defend the boys and throw the offense along with the girl onto the trash heap!

I am so appalled not only at the demeaning scumball low lifes in this video, but also those commenters on the video saying "if she never drank this wouldent have happened" or that the way she was dressed had somthing to do with it. NOTHING makes the fact that these ignorant pigs raped a young girl ok or justifys it. We live in a sick world.

Similar things have happened in Oregon, just didn't make the big news. It's one of the reasons I see our alcohol laws as totally screwed up: they make adults the enemy, so when teens do drink, there's no supervision, no role model, no guidance to tell them where the line is.

Now there will be a trial, and while there should be, it's also treating the symptom rather than the problem.

Yeah, it is. Anonymous shouldn't have posted it, merely sent it to responsible people who could use it to pursue the case. I think they're a bit addicted to the notoriety that making things public brings. They'd do better to work more behind the scenes and get a reputation for maturity.
