It's just like the people of ancient Australia; they think they had about 70 languages but none of them were recorded properly so now they're mostly lost.
My main language is Portuguese (European), and have a decent English and French, a reasonable Spanish and Italian, but I really don't like to speak both of them because of the accent, it makes me feel awkward, a mediocre Arab (learned it many years ago, but I can barely build a sentence now) and I am beginner in German...

VaquitaThe worst thing...is not energy depletion, economic collapse, conventional war, or the expansion of totalitarian governments. As terrible as these catastrophes would be for us, they can be repaired in a few generations. The one process now going on that will take millions of years to correct is loss of genetic and species diversity by the destruction of natural habitats. This is the folly our descendants are least likely to forgive us.--e.o. wilson
