ATTACK OF THE LIBERAL ELITE
And what would Chance be saying about Obama's "lack of leadership" if he behaved this way.. HMM.
Boehner is in a role of political leadership. It's funny glancing between this thread and the one where Chance is whining endlessly about Obama's "lack of leadership."
"Thirty-one* states allow all qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons. In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible. "![]()

In other news Republicans can't distinguish between a curse word in a celebratory congratulation and a direct insult.
So because they're public representatives, they're not allowed to have feelings? They're not allowed to be pissed off and express that to one of their colleagues in a private setting?
It is certainly ironic that GC, and you, lambast Boehner and other politicians for expressing their feelings, yet defend against an expression of those very same things in this thread.
By the way: the language here is irrelevant. Boehner could have called Reid a doddering old mule ready to be put out to pasture, and the point would have gotten across the same way.

Both are vulgar, and, according to what you have posted in this thread, both are unbecoming of a public representative.
It means that what some redneck or what some anonymous poster says in his off time on an internet forum and an elected representative of the people in a leadership position speaking to another of the same in Congress are two entirely different contexts and equating them is moronic.
Well, the good thing is Jack has his OMG EQUIVALENCY!!!, so he won't go looking for anything more substantive until he beats it to death. There is the F word. That's all that counts, context can go fuck itself!
...oops!

"Someone who frequently mentions their personal struggle, while idolizing all things conservative, is kinda like watching a woman rape herself and cry about it..."
When did the hallway outside the Oval Office become a "private meeting."
ATTACK OF THE LIBERAL ELITE
It was definitely not a private meeting lol. THat's just another lame excuse for bad behavior.

And yes, language DOES matter. The meaning is the same, but the way it is perceived is drastically different.

Argument is entirely consistent. It doesn't really matter where they do it. I was responding to the posting of several you that this was in public. It was not.
But, Reid would have deserved it anyways. Just like he deserved to be called an idiot by Vitter.

You can also be sure you, as well as others here, would be cheering him on.
Your initial position was everyone should be able to say what they really feel. Therefore your last x number of posts about the setting is irrelevant.
I've already stated this is not the case and so if we're just going to sit here and say "liar" there's no point in a discussion, is there? I understand and acknowledge that the Republican mindset to politics, governance, attacking the opposition, etc. is something they truly believe "they are doing because the other side would do exactly the same thing." But I don't think that remotely reflects reality nor do I think the conservative mindset about win at all costs, use anything no matter what it is reflects a mirror of progressive attitudes about politics. You can also be sure you, as well as others here, would be cheering him on.
Like all the faux outrage threads around here. ALthough in fairness perhaps that's because under 8 years of Bush we had an enormous quantity of actually substantive matters of principle to talk about that we didn't have to resort to what color dress Pickles wore to a White House dinner or whatever else.
JB3 has left many in his wake here
amazing the impact of common sense
is it just a coincidence ? JB3 John Boehner ???
What common sense? What logic? Weak excuses don't excuse bad behavior.
And weak criticism isn't leaving people in the wake.

ATTACK OF THE LIBERAL ELITE
It was funny. During the Moment of Zen on The Daily Show, some Fox News guy was saying it was anatomically impossible for one to fuck themselves. I have seen pornos that prove the contrary.
