^ maybe because I don't belong where I am, that's why I don't fit in. Not sad. Just saying.

Sending my thoughts, prayers and hugs to help you get through this. Don't forget to take care of yourself.![]()
Don't cast aspersions on my asperagus.
I wanted to chime in and let people know that my sister is doing good. I didn't want to say that it was my sister because I think that I have a RL friend on JUB and I didn't want to scare anyone in the family or friend circle.
This is the second breast cancer scare, but we are thinking that everything will probably be okay. Breast cancer does run in my family unfortunately. However, because she is 23 the doctors say that we should relax and be hopeful.
I feel like all of your prayers and positive energy have helped because for the last couple of weeks, the lumps have been giving her pain and the the pain stopped the very night that I made the thread. Its sounds nutty (and troll-esque) but its true and I feel like that is kind of miraculous.
Tests still have to come in but we are hopeful. Thankyou for your support. Im overcome. Please dont worry.

MissAnne - Very good news. Breast cancer is serious but Can be overcome. My thoughts continue for your sister and you.

Auntie Anne, you know I love Kylie Minogue, and she is a breast cancer survivor. Early detection is key. It runs in my family as well for the women, I hope everything will be alright.![]()

I hope that the next generation of our families wont have to deal with cancer at all.
And wow, I didn't know that Kylie was a survivor. That is great. I love survivor stories. The other night I was reading Christina Applegate's survivor story.
Early dectection is the key ! You are right. I havent had a breast exam in over two years. Its shameful, really. This has encouraged me to get checked and I encourage the men and women on JUB to do the same.
I didn't know that men could get breast cancer until I learned that Richard Roundtree (Shaft) was a survivor. Survivor stories are the best. 100% better than reading WedMB stats.
My grandmother had breast cancer and she got absolutely clean. That was a lot of years ago and she got a late diagnosis. With current medicine advances and early detection I'm certain your sister will get completely cured too.![]()

Im so happy that your grandmother is well. Another success story !
The doctors said that it is most likely benign. Ive learned that some women with painful benign lumps have to have surgery and some just live with them. My mother had a benign lump removed when I was in middle school and she is doing great.
Thanks for keeping us updated. Reading about what's happening is scary but I'm glad that the doctors gave her a good prognosis. Tbh, I was a bit blindsided by the age. It usually doesn't happen to women so young, right? I guess it's a more aggressive kind that runs in your family that is leading to things like benign tumors happening so early? It's worrying because they usually don't recommend breast exams for women who are younger than middle-age, so things like this in younger women can get easily overlooked. Anyway, I just really feel happy for your sister, you and your family. I'm glad your sister is doing well.

One thing I learned from Kylie is to trust your instincts about how you feel with your body. She said when she went for a breast exam the doctor said she was fine....but she didn't feel fine so she went again to another doctor and they discovered a lump, had she just trusted the doctor she might not be here.
That's what happened to my grandmother, she didn't get diagnosed early and it had spread too much, she passed away.
If you do like survivor stories Kylie has a documentary on her fight called White Diamond. You could YouTube it, or I could send you a link if you are ever interested. My signature is a line from her song White Diamond. Anyway brought up Kylie because its breast cancer and to me she's a good example of a survivor.

Yeah its rare. Im hearing that its happening more and more to women in their 20's-30's. An article stated that it may be linked to cosmetics and other chemicals that are around us everyday. However, genetics does play a big role. Luckily in my family the last two generations have only had benign tumors. Younger women can get overlooked. Its so true. We are encouraged to do the self breast exams more so than the clinical ones.
Wow, good for her. Im so happy that she got a second opinion. That is insane. Now Im definately going to check out that documentary. Ill try to youtube it.
Im sorry about your grandmother. I had a grandparent that passed away from a late stage cancer as well. Ive found that older people dont get checked out as much as they should.

Benign, Benign, Benign. That is the greatest word. No more pain and the lumps are benign. Everyone is doing great. Thankyou all so much for your overwhelming support. Ive never treasured life so much.
Please send prayers to Sultan's grandmother, for she was diagnosed with a cancer that has metastasized.
