Nope, I don't buy into contemporary entertainment. The views of Katy Perry, Beyonce, Tim Tebow, etc, have zero effects on my political beliefs. They are not well-educated, and they do not they offer anything insightful. I admittedly have leftist leanings, mostly because I'm in academia, and I value the power of independent thought (which is something stringent conservative views cannot offer me).
