Never say Never.
Never say Never.
It appears AshyPhoenix went inactive about 1/25.
Yeah, self imposed break as far as I know, he said see you guys in a few days.
I see that Chance is on a bit of a holiday as well.
Author of Lost in a Dream. If you want to make me smile, read it and tell me what you think.
When someone comes here open about their problem, and their need for help, and their acknowledgment of needing that help, and talks about their plan and appointments to get that help, showing support isn't "burying your head in the sand." It's showing support. None of us are in any position to effect any real-life influence on whether or not someone gets help or improves. It's all we can do here. Tough love here is just "I'm gonna be negative."
I would consider some of my posts to Refuji to have been some variant of "tough love" but the truth is I can't control where he goes with any of it-- so harping on him nonstop about anything is just being mean and it's not productive.
I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt Ashy was affected by anything illgetbi said. He has a LOT tougher skin then that, and a quick enough wit to fire back scathing replies that would melt off anyone's face.
Ashy was taking time off earlier, and I believe he just popped back on long enough to let everyone know he was (for the most part) doing ok and still alive - and probably to stop me from spam posting his FB letting him know people here were worried about him.
Ashy would tell you that a few years ago, no one was as hard on his ass as I was....and you know what I mean so get your heads out of the gutter.
I have made it clear to him that no matter how we sometimes slide...he is always safe and welcome here...everyone only wants the best for him because he has been an inspiration to so many.
I think everyone sees what a good, kind, clever and very human person that he is.
I don't think that illgetbi did any harm in his response...but he may have made Dante realize that it was time to get serious about coming back to an optimal state of health.
I love them both like brothers oddly enough and I won't hear anything bad about either of them. They are as imperfect as I am...so I enjoy their company.

What psychopathy is this?
"There’s death on the horizon,
and I’ll run to behold your sacrifice..."
* "This video promotes gay-bashing!"
* "Come on - neither of those guys are really gay. They're only gay-bash-for-pay."
* "Why doesn't that guy shave? Doesn't he care how he looks? Body hair is GROSS!"
* "JUB models are fugly. Get that guy from that pay website to beat up that other guy from that other pay website, and then fuck him, and then post the video here for free! Or I'll stop visiting this website!"
* "Where the fuck is the lemon curd?"
"I'd pay extra to see his ass kicked bareback."
"Can you buy that lemon curd somewhere? The one with the spooge in it?"
RIP Tomba and Tomba V2.0
Tomba 2.0 was like the epilogue on Dragnet - not sure he really counts.
I'm hoping he'll miss us like kittens and return.
Will he miss us like the missus? Time will tell. If memory serves, he reincarnated once before...
Shut the Front Door.
You mean that Tomba was Mikami?
I have to agree that I would cut a world of slack to anyone who works with rescued animals.
can someone tell me if I made the list or do I needa go through every page?
.... don't you think?
@ #161 It's ironic that poor Johann was an avid Republican. It's kind of ironic that some of the smartest brains here will be changing a lot of their views in ten years time.
I think he thinks I'm much younger than I actually am. Btw Pat... my dad switched from Republican to Democrat in 2008 and hasn't gone back, and he's 63.
It's a truism and I'm pretty sure it was first said in the 18th century London. Though I don't think people change their allegiance as they age but as they attain assets.
I can't think of any notable disappearances other than people that have showed up in some other identity.
In a nutshell I've held the same views since I was fourteen: 1) Let people live their own loving, caring lives with whomever they choose/believe in whatever they want without bringing harm to others, and 2) Let me spend and save my money in whatever form I like, but not give it all to my government.
I feel my views are very reasonable and do not believe they will change.
^ Callum, do you own a motor-car and a house?
Do you operate a business? Do you have many employees?
Unadulterated deregulation IS bad, but so is stifling regulation and bureaucratization. It's difficult to get the proper balance of sensible regulation while allowing for flexibility and freedom to innovate and build. Both sides are guided by the assumption they know best, conservatives overly confident about the wisdom of the marketplace while progressives favor the hand of government. Even in so called bastions of a socialist economy like in Scandinavia, there are turns to the relative left and right(plus what may work for a few million Swedes and Norwegians may simply not be applicable to over 300 million Americans. In Norway labor intensive industries are increasingly outsourced because of the hefty financial/regulatory cost of doing business even though Norway is more advanced than the US by some measures of way of life.
Ugh, CE&P is leaking again.
So I just noticed that Effortless_Pro self-deleted.
