I used to follow it on Cable but since I disconnected I don't so much. But recently UFC has been getting a lot of coverage mainly due to NHL lockout I guess. It's an alternative...

one thing that i don't like about the ufc is that some of the fights are way too quick. it's not like boxing. that pacman ko fight was more entertaining than anything i seen on the ufc this year.

It's getting a lot of coverage lately because it's become more popular and people have stopped thinking of it as human cockfighting, not because there are no NHL games to showcase.

That said, one of the things I miss about GA is that I had a group of people to watch the pay-per-views with; here, i'm by myself. I like it - even as far as to like The Ultimate Fighter, their answer to "reality" tv(until FX acquired it and made it all weird). And even though the market became super-saturated, it seems that most of the smaller markets(WEC, Strikeforce) fell at the hands of the original, UFC.

And yes, some of the guys are HOT, and at least a couple have done either porn spreads or actual porn. Lucky for me, that's never been the main reason for me watching.

Of course the WWE sucks by comparison. But when it was the WWF... you could blur the lines a little more(or maybe that's child me talking).

I saw an old Thin Man flick on the Turner Movie Channel the other day, made in '39 or '40, in which wise-cracking private dick Nick Charles, played by William Powell, takes his wife to see wrestling for the first time.

He runs into a shady character at the fights who tells him to bet on so-and-so to win.

Charles replies, "Why? Were you at the rehearsal?"

I used to love watching it but simply fell off the mood.... still a good thing to watch. Occasionally I go to the bar closest to me which is a BWW.

One of the weirder things I have seen at the Buffalo Wild Wings near me they sponsor fight nights and it fills up with apparent UFC wanna be's ... so not only is the view on the gi-normous screens worthwhile so is the crowd... although there is way too much "Ugg me MAN! testosterone flowing around that place...

I really like watching UFC. I can't stand Dana White. He reminds me of Don King for some reason. I agree some of the guys are hot but thats just a bonus for watching. I like how fast the fight can change. One minute a guy is getting the hell beat out of him and suddenly he has his opponent in a choke or triangle and wins.

I just hope UFC doesn't get as corrupt as boxing. I think there's some of that going on now already.
