Gay version of the Bible

I agree with the concept, but I'm not sure I agree with the title:

An Amazon posting for a book titled The Queen James Bible has settled once and for all the question of whether or not the bible condemns homosexuality. Well, not exactly.

No, the battle rages on, but the anonymous authors of a book described as "A Gay Bible" have tried to create a version of the Christian holy book that supports the movement for gay rights.

The cover depicts a rainbow-coloured cross and editor's notes about homosexuality in the bible and what passages the authors changed. based on The King James Bible, according to the description, but with eight controversial verses edited.

"The Queen James Bible seeks to resolve interpretive ambiguity in the Bible as it pertains to homosexuality: We edited those eight verses in a way that makes homophobic interpretations impossible," the description says.

Not everyone is delighted with the edited Bible, of course, especially not Catholic Online, which has issued a press release.

"Don't like the Bible? Well, you could just create your own version," the release says, followed by scathing criticism of the book.
