The late Kenneth Kendall
I was quite taken aback to discover in obituaries to Kenneth Kendall , who died aged 88 this week, that he was civil partnered.
This man was the very first newsreader to have his face seen on British televison in 1955 , and when retired from the BBC , anchored the most popular programme on the then new Channel 4 ( Treasure Hunt) from 1984.
He was doted on by legions of female fans , but was one of us all along!
You live and learn.

Yes I was surprised at that news.
It just shows you that there are many more gays out there than are thought.
He was a good example of someone who kept their head down, did their job well and lived a happy life
