I think it looks distasteful. I live in a town with multiple colleges and I can assure you that I see more white guys doing this than African American. What really gets me is that they walk around holding their crotches as a way of holding their pants up. I want to tell them that they have a thing called a belt and that taking pride in ones appearance is one of the sexiest things in my mind.

This look tells me that they can't afford a belt or don't care how they look. It also tells me they want to look cool to their friends. I would never date a guy that does this.

no, it goes further than that. it goes back to slavery in the us where the male slaves were NOT allowed to wear belts because the slavemasters didn't want them to feel like men. it was used as a mental tactic to make the slaves feel like they were inferior and like they were little boys. they felt that in order to keep the slaves in check and have them from doing revolts, riots and etc they had to literally make them believe that they weren't men and the slavemasters were their daddies. the slavemasters were the only ones that could wear belts.

The other day I was sat at a table near the bar in my local pub. A tall gangly kid stood right in front of me waiting to get served; his arse was almost at eye level.
