Was he a great man when he suspended Habaeus Corpus?
Actually it proves nothing. And big on words? I'll leave that to the GOP. All words, all rhetoric and no substance. Stop putting that shit on Obama when it's really the other side doing it.it proves a high level of incompetency on this matter - and it proves that no one was truly held accountable - the Obama administration is big on words but not so much on substance - his puffy chested "it's on me" is like a guy who steps into a skirmish w/o any real intent to fight - that's the Pres.
Actually they did take responsibility.no one was held accountable
Totally wrong. He has showed leadership leading this country out one of the worst recessions in decades. All the right wing can do is shoot off their mouths with more talking points. Talking points seem to be the popular theme around here today.and the President, as he has shown for 4 years now - is not a leader - he's a talker
Selective amnesia that the standard Republican posture has been admit no mistake, ever, show no sign of weakness, ever. Plausible deniability forever. Gitmo. Abu Ghraib. WMD in Iraq.
Apparently that's all = "Mistakes were made. The buck stops here, I am responsible."
Chance, why do you give advice you are laughably incapable of following? Your smug superior tone fools nobody but yourself, and even that poorly, I'd wager.
As for the topic, you did not answer the question - WHAT have we not been told? HOW is this a conspiracy? WHAT information is being hidden?

Abraham Lincoln is regarded VERY favorably by most all - just beginning to read Doris Kearns Goodwin's book on him - if you want to throw stones (it's all u do) find another historical figure GC - if u want any shred of cred
I don't shit on Obama - I just point out problems I have with his (lack of) accountability and leadership
No one lost their job - they just shuffled the deck chairs on The Titanic - still hit the ice
Read Bob Woodward's book on Obama - his personality, his (lack of) leadership, his dislike for people/politics

I understand that Lincoln was viewed favorably, but he is not perfect and some of his policies were against the constitution.
This is wrong. There is no lack of accountability and leadership is certainly not lacking.I don't shit on Obama - I just point out problems I have with his (lack of) accountability and leadership
Bob woodward's book is inaccurate as it comes and has no real grasp of what Obama is really like. Obama has demonstrated his leadership qualities in the last few years, and Woodward is pretty much out of the loop. but i won't "let it go" as it's clear what really happened
Wait, so we've now been told everything, but you're bitching because we weren't given all the sensitive information as the administration was receiving it and possibly before even going through it? Damn this Obama and his Communist agenda of not sharing sensitive military information with the unwashed prols the second he gets it!!!
It's laughable. Basically you're admitting to beating a dead horse, because when they were killing it, they weren't totally honest and clear in the method from the get go.
Huh? It's clear what happened, but you won't let go? I am more and more confused. The underbridge is dark and full of terror.

"Someone who frequently mentions their personal struggle, while idolizing all things conservative, is kinda like watching a woman rape herself and cry about it..."
So what is your definition of accountability? Maybe the President should resign? If that's the case, then every president since Nixon should have resigned. In fact, assuming you're basing your requirement of accountability on the fact that Americans were killed while in dangerous foreign countries, you could safely say every president since George Washington should have resigned.
It's easy to sit back and make overarching, generalized statements like "there needs to be accountability" or "the President is a terrible leader", but your position lacks any kind of credence or substance if you can't articulate what it is you want to see. Honestly, I don't think those that constantly make statements like this will ever be satisfied with anything the President does because it doesn't serve the underlying issue of them just not liking the guy. They will find anything to seize on and just run with it.
And my piece reads as an event that actually happened that a group of people are reading as a fictional what-if that has some sinister back story where some evil government is attempting to deceive it's citizens. You and everyone else knew from day one that Americans were killed by bad people. Maybe you were expecting all of the details to emerge right then, but time to investigate exactly what happened needed to occur. You had Republicans attacking the administration just hours after the event occurred without having any of the facts themselves. They screamed for an explanation and answers immediately when the facts weren't fully known and then attacked the initial assessment (which was clearly described as such in every interview and press conference after it was given) of what went on when it was given.
Self improvement dontcha say?
Then stop being so dismissive of others when they question your motives.no smug or superior here - i'm actually humble and insecure
No. There was no conspiracy. This has been asked and answered. The administration was very forthcoming about the entire situation and republicans attempted to make it into something it's not. Even John McCain had to back off. That should be a hint enough that there is nothing to that argument.the conspiracy was to hold info from the american public initially - the original lies - the doubletalk - for almost 2 weeks

Obama is the complete phony? LOL. Seriously? The two phonies ran against him and they lost.he's a complete phony and this is another example
Beating a dead horse argument is something someone does when they ran out of material and that is what I see here. Obama has had numerous victories in recent days, including demolishing the republican party on taxes... and the republican party seems to be closer to complete internal strife. Grasping onto an old tired issue that has already been explained shows desperation.
the conspiracy was to hold info from the american public initially - the original lies - the doubletalk - for almost 2 weeks
Gosh darn Obama for not knowing everything the minute it happened! I guess his crystal ball was broken that day. Also, darn the CIA for not telling us everything, because they always disclose everything they know to the public. I mean, look at Valerie Plame. She had the nerve to try to stay undercover, but that patriotic Republican Scooter Libby blew her cover because it was the right thing to do!
pres. obama Mitt Romney ran in 2008 2012 on a platform and mantra that is so opposite of how he conducts himself, his campaign and his decision making
There. Fixed for accuracy.
Chance is 100% right about Obama being a talker and not a leader.
The American economy is still in the dumps after four years. Lackluster growth. Millions of people have given up on the American dream. If there was a republican president right now -- you'd be calling for his resignation.
You're failing to look past the love.

No. Chance is 100% wrong.
So what should the President do? Snap his fingers and make everything better? That's what many seem to be suggesting on here. Actually, the US economy isn't in the dumps and has improved steadily. Growth has been solid, but not spectacular. This can be more attributed to the lack of action within the Congress. The American economy is still in the dumps after four years. Lackluster growth. And don't tell me what I would be doing or not. A republican got us into this fucking mess, and a democrat has to pick up the pieces. Don't skirt around the reality.

First of all, lower/higher taxes does not equate to more/less jobs. Jobs are created when the demand is there to meet them. If you want to point fingers at people, point them at all of the companies that are posting large profits and sitting on huge cash reserves but aren't utilizing them to create jobs (at least in this country.)
Second of all, "the guy" didn't just push through anything. The only reason taxes went up on everyone was because the payroll tax holiday was allowed to expire (the only tax that affects everyone.) That was never meant to be permanent and thus is not an increase. The rate was merely allowed to return to where it originally was after "the guy" pushed for it to be temporarily during his first term in office. Also, you should definitely enroll in a US Government 101 class to learn how laws are passed in this country. The President doesn't do it. Congress does. I don't see how you can sit there and claim he doesn't show leadership and then turn around and say he showed enough leadership to force Congress to raise taxes. It's one or the other, assuming you actually want to make a valid point instead of just trying to create controversy where there is none.
Finally, the President has little, if any, control over job creation. If you're like most conservatives and tout all of the benefits of Capitalism, then you need to also accept the negatives that come with it. In a capitalist system, the sole purpose is to generate profit for the business. They don't care about employees, the customers, or the larger economy. Those are all just means to the end of maximizing profit. If the demand isn't there that absolutely requires a company to hire someone, they're not going to hire anyone. If you want to be mad at something, be mad at the corporations for not generating enough demand for their product to require hiring additional employees. Be mad at the people who turn their nose up at working a low paying job because they're holding out for their dream job. Be mad at the places that farm stuff out overseas in order to reduce costs. I see the President attempting to do what he can to help people out. The same can't be said for the "on your own" conservatives and "too big to fail" corporations that love sucking from the teat of the government but will be up in arms if they're asked to do anything to give back to it.

If you try to take Jack seriously, you are just going to end up chasing your tail - he doesn't want to discuss, he wants to vilify and provoke. He comes from the UnderBridge.

the "UnderBridge?" LOL
u and the guy NO ONE likes keep using that term - it's so silly - and not very funny either
I believe the use of it is yet another symptom of the dreaded Obamallegiance
needing to silence those who don't live in the pod (see Invasion of the Body Snatchers)
as for Hills,
she's back to work tomorrow
YEAH !!!!
hopefully some day soon she'll share her thoughts on Benghazi - I don't expect much frankly
so much time has passed and in Obamamania, it's ceased to exist - it's been wiped from the slate
think of it as OBAMA FARM - Orwellian
Hills better be careful - if she fesses up about the real story of Benghazi, they'll send her to the glue factory

Chance, you think any of us are taking these fake outrages remotely seriously.
We stomp on your b.s. but that's all we're doing. You seem to be under this delusion that we're panicky and running around doing damage control and defending Obama. These outrages are all ridiculous. It's clear what motivates these thread and it's equally clear there's nothing that you or Jack can hear other than "Obama completely fails" that registers in your minds.
If this is the best you got, this is the best you got. When these outrages amount to failures that actually harm anyone other than by inventing an unsupportable conspiracy theory around them and making mishaps look like planned policy I'll actually feel like damage control is necessary. Till then all we're basically doing is making fun of you guys. You make yourselves look like shrieking ideologues desperate to find any mud to sling no matter how petty, small and imaginary it is. That's all the more seriously we take it.
As the "GUY NO ONE LIKES" (or so says God apparently), I want to enforce the proper use of "underbridge" which is also an adjective and should mostly be used as such. Jack does not "come from the underbridge", he IS underbridge, and so is his logic.

Well, see I kinda thought the "UnderBridge" was kinda like the "Matrix," ya know, a fantasy dystopia pumped into the minds of the herd by a malevolent alien intelligence. So one could BE UnderBridge and BE FROM the UnderBridge at one and the same time.
Which would make ME Morpheus and YOU Neo - no wonder the herd doesn't like you - YOU CAN SEE THE UNDERBRIDGE!!!
And really, they just want a steak.
ATTACK OF THE LIBERAL ELITE
I do listen to the news. I don't listen to Fox News. The President did not get his way with taxes. He wanted the rate to return to pre-Bush levels on people making over $200,000/250,000. The cut off was set at $400,000/450,000. You are right in that he didn't want to extend the payroll tax holiday, because when it was passed in his first term, it was never meant to be permanent. The payroll taxes fund Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. They would run out of money even faster if the tax cut was made permanent and everyone knew this. They were lowered as part of a temporary stimulus and now that we are not in an economic free fall, they were allowed to go back to where they were supposed to be.
How you didn't understand that reading my previous post or "listening to the news" is what is truly unbelievable!

Nobody is considering that $200-250K before 2001, was equivalent to something higher now. Not quite as high as $400/450K, but probably at least $310K or something. So the gap between the new reality, and the Clinton reality, is not quite as great.
When the "payroll tax holiday" went into effect, I was P-I-S-S-E-D O-F-F! My thought at the time was that it was the "foot in the door" to completely destroy Social Security and the medical ones, or eventually use it as a ploy for the Feds (read: Republicans) to just take that whole thing and THROW that money at Wall Street, so they could gamble it all away and sniff the rest up their noses.
If course most of us know that if they just threw all that damned money at Wall Street, it wouldn't suddenly be put into place in three hours, logistics and new financial structures and all. No, it would take months to accomplish. In anticipation of this ****MASSIVE***** new demand, stock prices would skyrocket. These federal funds would go in at the absolute highest stock market possible and, once the expectation of this new one-time surge was consummated, I think stock prices would go into a HORRIFIC crash.
The federal entitlement monies would go into the stock market at prices that would not be seen again for at least twenty or thirty years and, as it quickly becomes almost worthless, those who saw this coming would be walking away with platinum parachutes. Gold isn't good enough.
The markets would also crash because of all the super-rich who invested in this bubble, and many of whom would suddenly sell their stocks. It wouldn't surprise me if it crashed the market from the 30,000's to the 4,000's. Of course, as some point, people would start buying stocks at the bargain prices and it would go back up, but retirees, those dependent on outside medical care, etc. would be flattened.

Hillary Clinton, on September 21st, 10 days after the attack said to reporters before she was to meet with the Pakistani foreign minister
That was about 4 mos. ago - what's actually happened since then doesn't suggest getting to the bottom of it and it's worse than that“What happened was a terrorist attack, and we will not rest until we have tracked down and brought to justice the terrorists who murdered four Americans.”
There are three suspects but we're not able to talk to one and the other two well ....“We’re not even close,” says one U.S. official involved in the investigation.
The Tunisa details are especially troubling - if you care to read - sorta chilling at just how fucked in the region we are - and how we have NO cred and there's no fear of American strengthOne leading suspect is in custody—Egyptian custody—and we’re being denied access to him. Another sipped a strawberry frappe in the lobby of a luxury hotel in Benghazi as he told a New York Times reporter that he felt no need to hide from the United States. And when a third suspect was freed from a Tunisian prison earlier this month, the U.S. government was given no warning, but extremists belonging to an al Qaeda-linked group apparently had advance notice.
So where are we ?
So it looks like this is a long lasting problem for the U.S. well beyond the murder of four innocents. Lots of lip service (the specialty) by the Admin. but no there thereDespite its many promises, after four months of a criminal investigation, the U.S. government has made little progress on bringing the Benghazi attackers to justice. The Obama administration, which came to office trumpeting “smart power,” has shown itself unable to produce cooperation even from governments receiving vast sums of aid from the United States without congressional threats. And now, the same terrorist organizations that supplied the attackers for the assaults on American facilities in Benghazi and Tunis are openly threatening FBI investigators and celebrating the release of one of the few suspects in the 9/11/12 attacks.

What?!?! People in a historically violent and distrusting part of the world are releasing prisoners instead of turning them over to the US and aren't cooperating with our investigation? And what's that? When left to choose their own democratically elected governments, they don't choose one exactly like our's? No way! But you're right, it's somehow the President's fault.
